To confirm the correct size and a proper fit, there should be about a pinky finger width between your heel and the back of the clog.Your heel should move up and down freely (like an open back clog) when walking. Relax your feet and resist the urge to curl your toes.n both clogs, stand with equal weight on both feet. The clog's arch should be under your arch and you should not feel the back of the shoe on your heel or your toes touching the front of the clog. Most people have two different sized feet. Be sure to try on both clogs and fit them to the larger foot. Ahhhhh, Dansko. There you go again. Doing your all-day comfort thing. Making us feel so good on our feet. With excellent arch support and legendary comfort, you let us stand longer than ever. And with great styles in a range of heel heights, you have us feeling all tingly inside, just like the day we first met. When wife and husband team, Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup discovered the world's most comfortable shoe in a tiny shop in Denmark in 1990, they just had to bring some home for their friends. When their friends tried them on, they told their friends. And just like that, a shoe company was born. Now Dansko not only sells their original clogs, but also heels, boots, sandals, wedges and flats too! Every style features the Dansko DNA - materials and construction carefully selected to promote good foot, leg and back health, so that you can stand better, for longer. Say goodbye to choosing between looking good and feeling good. And say hello to having it all.

Tight
I have a wide foot but more importantly - I have a thick instep with a high arch... really difficult to get my foot in... trying everything to get them to stretch because I know that the fit will be good once the opening is wider... why don't companies 'get' what a wide foot is? Frustrating.

Would definitely not recommend the supplier from whom I purchased
Nurse for many years and my 5th pair of Dansko's. Not sure they are worth the money we pay for how long they last, but it's what most of us wear. Would definitely not recommend the supplier from whom I purchased, as they sent me used or damaged shoes that had gauges on the toes of the shoes that they tried to oil and shine out (even though this was not that kind of material). I would never purchase from them again. I kept the shoes simply because it was the second shoe within a week (ordered another size from a different company and it was too big) and i didn't feel like returning another pair and waiting yet again for shoes I wasn't sure would come new or used.

Good shoe for flat feet
Since March of this year I've had issues with plantar fasciitis and I'd heard these shoes were great for this. My feet were getting better but getting these shoes has helped my feet even more. They do take some getting used to because they're not padded and the arch inside the shoes is quite distinctive when you put them on. But amazingly, they're helping my heels! It's also true, and a bit frustrating, that one shoe is tighter than the other and ironically not on my dominate foot. Normally that wouldn't be so bad but it's tight at the top of the shoe and it sort of digs into the top of my foot. In time, I'm sure that'll go away as they get worn in.

Perfect shoe for on your feet jobs
I found these in a local store and tried on multiple pairs before finding what actually fit and was comfortable. It's really really important to try on multiple pairs, especially in the same size. These are hand made and a size 11 could be a little different than the next size 11. I also found that changing the width really made these shoes much more comfortable. My last pair I wore out, 2 years of almost daily use. The are absolutely the shoe you want to be standing in all day. I work in a pharmacy and they are dressy looking, comfortable, and are easy to keep clean. I highly recommend these to all my friends.

Very disappointed
I bought these shoes for everyday use in my healthcare job. Many colleagues have raved about the comfort of these shoes during 12 hours plus shifts. I really to give these a break in time but I cannot continue to wear these shoes. They pinch my feet and have even caused a pinched nerve due to pressing against the top of my right foot. I bought my usual size in wide width. I am very disappointed since I spent so much money on these. I was hoping to have a shoe I could use at least for the next couple of years. Now I am looking for another shoe for work and I am out of over $100. I think I also have to see a doctor about the new nerve problem my foot.

Doesn't quite cut it
The wide width fit the ball of my foot great, true to the "wide" designation. Surprisingly, however, they were really tight just behind the ball of my foot in the area between the ball and the arch. The loose heel was different but I'd read a Q&A that mentioned this before hand and so got used to that part pretty quickly. While walking they were very good but as soon as I sat down my feet just ached, even after only an hour of walking/standing. For the price and the intent of relieving foot stress, I was not pleased. I'll be returning these and continue my search for something that supports my whole foot better.

I love me some Dansko's!
You won't make a big fashion statement wearing these, but your feet will thank you. I have a long history of heel spurs, so support is everything to me. My feet never hurt when I wear these. And, I have five other Dansko shoes, and can tell you they are very durable and last for years. Fit is spot on too.

Too small for me
I've had this exact shoe in the past without problems but perhaps my foot is getting wider. Even the wide shoe was too narrow and not tall enough- I felt pinching on top and too snug on the sides. I wore it for about a minute before I decided it had to be returned. Next size up would be too long so I'm still searching for something like this that is wide enough for my feet.

Most comfortable shoes for nurses (Buy wide if you can)
When I first wore these shoes, I hated them. My feet hurt like no other and I regretted buying them and wanted to return them. Thank goodness I didn’t.

May take a while to fit
I may be returning these. They are a bit uncomfortable but it may be the breaking in period. The last pair I had lasted for over 10 years.

I've done everything to make these shoes comfortable. Unfortunately 130
I bought wide width and even shoe stretchers. I'm a restaurant manager and am on my feet 10 hours a day. I've done everything to make these shoes comfortable.

now I think they are really fantastic shoes. Will get another pair
I have very wide feet, so I needed the wider shoes. It has taken me a couple of weeks to wear them in, however, now I think they are really fantastic shoes. Will get another pair.

They're Danskos
Either you love them or you don't, but theres not much to add to the story at this point. The wide style made them about 100 times as comfortable right out of the box.

Great comfort
The best choice for a standing job.

Jump 2 sizes up. EU and US are different despite what the sizing chart says.
I love the shoes so much, but I recommend going 2 sizes above what you normally wear. I jumped one size and it wasn’t enough.
