Replacement Power Amplifier Module EV Electro Voice ZLX-12P / 15P w/DSP Speaker

Installed in speaker with a blown board - it does not match the sound quality of my other speaker. Unfortunately an OEM board is about as much as one of these speakers goes for used. Nice try, but I would not buy again.

Super Value and sounds great!

The audio quality is sub par to that of the original EV amp.

The media could not be loaded. So I work in the pro audio industry and can say without a doubt that this is no where near the same quality as the original amp module in the ZLX 12BT speaker.My 2 biggest complaints are this. There’s a limiter that is in place, much like the EV module but it caps the output volume. Once you hit the ceiling that is it. It honestly sounds about 30-40 percent quieter at full volume. This might be to the power rating on this amp. I was able to get more kick out of it by switch the fuse relay from 115 to 230. I finally am able to get ample volume but still isn’t clean, which brings me to my next point.The DSP does not work unless you make this switch. And even after you do the changes are noticeable but not to the same degree as the original amp. There’s also a good deal of distortion when you make the switch. I’m giving this 3 stars mainly because it doesn’t come close to the original amp. Mind you I could have gotten the original amp but wanted to make a comparison. On a scale from 1-10 this might be a 6.5/7. I think it could be better. But then again this may be too harsh of a review for this crowd.
