I have never ordered jewelry making pendants online before. Especially with shells, which are so individual, I like to pick my pendants personally...that is, literally, in person. Of course, no two shells are the exact same, but this set is so remarkably close to what is pictured. It’s a modestly priced set that a novice could easily add jewelry findings, such as a couple gold tone, hypoallergenic (I like stainless steel, personally ) wire hooks for dangling earrings or a small bale...to hang the larger shells as pendants...from chains or cords. The possibilities for professional crafter, I suppose, with their imagination, would be very interesting, I would suspect.The alloy used iin electroplating the gold is unknown. I suspect that after a while, the gold might change color...but that might enhance the look of these shells...might make these shells look “vintage “ or “antique gold”. That would be a beautiful look, the gold is very shiny now... and though they so very attractive...the green shells are mesmerizing...the fan-shaped shells are almost identical in size...the taupe color of one set of shells is brindled with grey wiggly waves.... and well made, they are made for costume jewelry. Occasional wear. , if they were to dull or “bronze” a bit, after a person has their fun with them. At the very modest price that they are offered to the customer...and for quite decent craftsmanship on these (obviously well curated) selection of shells...and I mentioned how modestly priced they were.Of course, they’re not real gold...but, a decent crafter could still this use the contents of this set and turn it into a profit...And hardworking, self employed, artists and crafters depend on finding decent, well priced products like these...especially in these times.I would recommend this for you, (dear Reader...if you have a fondness for the sea...if it brings back good memories...and if you’re a handy sort) and your children, grandkids, nieces and nephews (if you’re the “cool” uncle or aunt), or friends could turn this into a fun, indoor, learn-a-new-craft, home activity.Believe me, people young and old, love to learn how simple things...like using a pair of needle nose pliers to open and remove a chain link, slide a new (baled or simply attached with a common jewelry o-ring...in minutes you can have a pendant on a chain they haven’t been wearing...and then just replace and close that link ...sometimes that’s how easy or difficult working with these pendants can be...as a couple of these pendants came with O-Rings attached. Ready to hang on a chain or cord....I was probably lucky to get those. They are not mentioned in the product description.If you’ve read this far, you’ve gathered that I recommend this product and the reasons why. No one is going to make “high end “ jewelry from this set, but it has some really beautiful real shells that have lovely colors...the “pairs” are “pairs”...and beach season, Mother’s Day, and this is just a fine escape from my usual artistic pursuits, that might inspire me to make something more than a couple of earrings and necklaces as gifts for friends.I recommend. Five stars...all the way.

These seashells are shown as matching pairs in the pictures and they are absolutely mismatched. Would not buy again.

All in all the pieces were beautiful, nice shape, and size. However one piece has a chip and decent size hole front and center that’s going to make it extremely difficult to impossible to use without it being noticeable and the reason for the three star review. If it was any less noticeable I would have given 4 stars at least.

Very beautiful shiny charms. I use them for my diy projects and they’re perfect. Charms look exactly like photos.
