Some disappointments
The Good: The "all blue" LED design appeals to me. This was the only version that I could find as such. The other main seller alternates blue and clear which I would assume is brighter, undesirable to me.The Bad: The labeling is misleading on these, they not not "air stone", they are "air tube". The tube has perforations in it. I purchased two of these, and in both the perforating of the tube is not consistent, nor are the holes of uniform size. The bubbles do not come up in a uniform wall along the length and some bubble flows are much larger than others. In fact, on one of them bubbles only come up in large bubbles on both sides, none in the middle unless I turn the air flow way up. I do have a powerful and variable air pump, my pump is not the problem. The manufacturing process quality control was just poor, and this very important aspect was neglected. Perhaps some of them are punched in a careful manner, but my two certainly were not.edit: I came up with a solution. First of all, I only am using one of these on one side of the tank now. The fish really enjoy my set up now, they were playing in the bubbles last night quite a bit. When I had two of these running on both sides of the back they seemed disconcerted. This gives them a quiet side and a lighted bubbly side at night to choose from, or move to and fro from. They are clearly much happier, the bubble side is like a playground, but they clearly don't want that on both sides of the tank. Yes you lose aesthetics, but one should think of the fish as well. I would not use the mulch-colored LED version, certainly not at night, I think that is cruel to the fish. How would you like something unnatural like that going on all night? But the dim blue of one unit is pleasant I think, provided they have a side to go to that is unlit as well. Now I no longer use the bubble function on the unit. The fish did not play in it much, and as I said it is inconsistent. I tried a bubble bar but that worked poorly. Looking on Amazon, it seems that is par for the course on long bubble bars. Just like this unit, you do not get a consistent row of bubbles unless you turn you pump way up, which is disconcerting to the fish.I purchased 4 bubble stone bulbs and two "T" connectors at Walmart for about $5. I connected bulbs on each side of the two "T's" and secured them above this LED light unit. I had to actually purchase 6 bulbs to find 4 that were balanced, however they are cheap. I would say this is about perfect, they are spaced out the 12 inches of the LED unit and provide a wall of tiny bubbles that the fish love.I have upgraded my rating to 4 stars as there is a solution. But as the unit is provided it is grossly inferior to my setup now, and I had to do some more looking and work to make it really nice.

Good product, good price, would recommend to another. you might want two for tanks bigger than 35 gallons
Good product, good price. Had it for about 3 weeks now and I use it as a night light when I turn off the main lights and let it run for 1-2hours before turning the aquarium dark. It works well with the glow rocks, For a 55 gal tank like mine, two would be better, but one gives a cool down, chill out effect that will work. The air bubbles look cool with the light. I bought a new air pump for it and they work well together. air whisper. One thing I would do differently is there is no weight to it, I have to put some gravel on top to hold it down so it doesn't float. This caused me very little issues for the gravel holds it down nicely and covers the black frame, Overall it looks good and I would recommend to another. I did not like the look of it when stuck to the side glass of the tank. sticks out too much and my opinion is that it looks ugly alone like that.

Very Pleased
The media could not be loaded. Â You can see the effect that the light and bubbles have not only on the color of the fish but in their activity as well. The fish are more active now. Watch the pink fish change as it swims in and out of the bubbles and the light. You can definitely see a change in color :)This is my first purchase with an underwater blue light because it's my first time with glow fish.I was nervous because I didn't know how it would go, and would have loved a hood light instead but the tank hood for my aquarium isn't equipped for it.Very easy instal (you need a bubbler for it though) and it's not intimidating. The fish were afraid of the bubbles at first but now they are very active, and their colors are starting to pop as the sunlight fades from my kitchen where the tank is.Very cool effect. I love it :)

Underwater Blue LED
It looks good, and was in expensive. however I expected a bigger curtain of bubbles.now for what it does do.1. The suction cups that it comes with was very useful.2. Make sure you put the lights behind the bubbles not in front.3. Works well with GloFishThe Bad1. If you wanted the bubbles to hide the cords behind the take like I did..... forget it. not happening with this2. The hose it comes with.... forget it mine was all kinked up and would pull out of the gravel bed. was a nightmare. you can get spare tubing at your local pet store.Over all, I think I am going to buy another for the other side of my tank. Even tho it didn't meet my expectations I am happy with my purchase.

great product
I was looking for something that could give some time of life to my fish tank. Every time 8 go to the pet shop I always look at those tank with different decorations, and when I look at my tank I used to feel like there was something missing... so I went online started to look ornaments decorations but I have to be honest I never thought that I would find such a great air pump with LED lights... after I place this blue lights inside my tank I don't even turn on the regular light. This is way more exotic n beautiful, is like I am looking at the ocean every time I look at my fish tank. Just buy it don't think about it too much, I guarantee u will love it... my fishes look great swimming in the water that actually looks like its blue due to this amazing air pump LED lights. ...

Lights look good but the aerator strip didn't work
My wife wanted this for her aquarium, which is 10 gallons. It really didn't work out because the tank has pebbles at the bottom and this really needs to be mounted to the bottom of the tank. We tried mounting to the side just above the pebbles but the light is directional and shoots out this way. So we put a thin layer of pebbles on top the strip mostly blocked the light. Then I hooked up the air strip and it wasn't working properly. It's a thin black rubber hose with slits cut down it. That connection point must be ripped because all the air was coming out thru the entry and not being evenly distributed down the tube. This thing sure didn't put out any "curtain effect."
