First, I acknowledge I used this in an other-than-recommended application. So please keep that in mind. I'm here to share my experience, but I'm sending it back.I wear a half helmet and am trying to find a sound solution that doesn't involve cramming things in my ears or getting another helmet. I honestly didn't expect this to work for me, and...it doesn't.This isn't "bone conduction," it's an audio or surface exciter. I've used similar things many times to make furniture into speakers. Not famous for high audio quality, but on the bike, that's not a massive concern — but I DO need to be able to hear. On my half helmet, it isn't nearly loud enough, and at max volume, the speaker clips badly, and the sound leaks.It's disappointing because the price is right and I really like the controls — big chunky button and ring right there, easy to find and control, even with gloves. It's a great idea, and I can only hope it works better on full helmets.

After reading into the Domio, and seeing mixed reviews, I figured I would try this SMOF Bone Conduction speaker. I purchased 2 units...one for myself and my girlfriend. The speakers came nicely packaged. Instructions were clear and simple. They connected to our phones easily. Mounting is simple. A plate with double sided tape attached to your helmet. The speaker attached to the mounting plate and is removable with a push button and twist action. Location of the speaker effects sound quality, but the microphone wire’s length may dictate the speakers location. Sound quality is ok. Nothing great, could be worse, but for $35 bucks it’s not a bad quick fix for audio and communication. Single press of the button turns on voice controls of the phone and your voice commands activate your phone book. Single press answers incoming calls. Product works well. Only issue is the volume under acceleration....cruising isn’t an issue. For $35 you can’t go wrong if your looking for background music and an easy way to take phone calls.

Wasn't expecting high fidelity stereo quality sound. But I find that the bone conduction solution to helmet audio is as good and as practical as one could hope for. I've tried any number of speakers, earbuds and headsets and they all had fidelity compromises. More importantly, they all had fit, comfort and/or reliability issues. Smog Bone Conducting Headset just plain works and without hassles. Installation is easy (I've even switched it out when I got a new helmet) and tunable. Just put the helmet on, turn on/pair the headset and hold the rubber vibrator/transmitter to the side of the helmet in several areas until you find the best spot for conduction, then mount it with the double sided adhesive. Bluetooth pairing is extremely fast, switchgear intuitive and battery life great! If you want to be able to listen to music and answer phone calls while riding with minimal hassle this is the answer.

Not very happy with sound quality. I really did try to like this product, but it's not worth getting. After the first ride the sound already sounded like a blown speaker in my ear. I tried it in 3 different spots on my helmet took it on freeway rides and canyon rides and it just didn't sound good at all. I hate to write bad reviews on stuff but I wouldn't get this for riding a motorcycle, maybe for a peddle bike helmet, sense you don't go as fast and have as much wind noise. Don't get for motorcycle helmet riding.

It just vibrates the shell.I was a bit disappointed. Call quality is good, music though (the main reason I purchased) is just ok. 3/10. Mono. Muffled. If you are looking for Bluetooth speakers for your helmet for good sounding stereo music while you ride, these are not what you are looking for.Tuck your mic inside your helmet if using a full face shield. Otherwise you will lose it.I haven't tried this while riding at speed yet. So dunno what sound is like at freeway speeds.

My son rides the trails on his bike and catches pokemon . There is no cars , only other bikes mostly so having this is really great for him. He loves it.

This tiny little speaker is amazing. Sounds is great, but not obstructive. Being able to hear traffic and music at the same time is a benefit I never knew was possible. Love this product, and the after sale support is even better!

I purchased two of these to have stereo sounds on helmet. Never used mic works well bit adhesive does wear off after time.

ヘルメットの内側にスピーカーを張り付けるタイプのを使っていましたが、耳の居心地が悪くこちらの商品を試しました。音楽を聴くには適さない音質ですがカーナビの音声ならまあ大丈夫です。物自体は高級感はありません。サイズ的にももう少し追い込めそうな感じです。気になっているのは、音の始めが切れることです。「右方向です」というのが右が入らず「方向です」となることがあります。休止状態になっていて、その復帰時に最初の音を再生しきれていないような感じです。私の環境下のみなのか気になります。ちなみに日本語の説明書はありません。ヘルメットの内装形状に関係なく使えますし、例えば後頭部あたりに貼っても機能しそうです。振動部とコントローラーの分離とか進化の余地がありそうです。

Unfortunately on high volume the sound is cracking.

台座の接着面が緩やかな曲面で、ジェットヘルにはぴったりくっつくんですけど、手持ちのフルフェイスだとシールド動かす機構と干渉するんで、若干台座にスキマが出来てしまうので、それを埋める加工が必要でした。ヘッドセットの機能としては、骨伝導がウリなんですけど、要はヘルメットの外壁に密着させることで、外壁自体で音を鳴らすアクチエーターとして機能します。メット被って無い状態で音を鳴らすと、内部で反響するから、物凄く音漏れしてるように感じますが、実際被ってるときは、自分の頭が緩衝材になるので、ほぼ音漏れしません。この製品、スピーカーでもイヤフォンでも無く、アクチュエータ（※）なので、当然くぐもった音質であり、音楽聴く用途にはあまり向いてないです。当方、カーナビ目的の使用なので、問題ありません。※アクチュエータというのは、物質を振動させて音を鳴らす仕組みの間接スピーカーです。台座からの取り外しだけ、若干手間というか、ロック解除スイッチが小さくて、本体に隠れる状態なので、付け外しは、停車中、ヘルメット外さないと出来ません。まあ、乗車中に外すことは無いと思うので全然オーケーですけど。本体はコンパクトで、プッシュとダイヤル式操作のみで、非常に簡単で扱いやすいです。基本的には、長押しで電源オンオフ、本体を手前に回すとボリュームダウンで奥に回すとボリュームアップ。着信は、軽くプッシュで通話開始、長くプッシュで着信拒否。台座はヘルメットにつけっぱなしで、本体だけ持ち運べるので、充電もやりやすいです。端子は一般的なマイクロUSBです。今までメットの内側にマジックテープで貼るタイプのヘッドセット使ってたんですが、それの付け外しと断線が怖くてめんどくさかったんで、この製品はそれらの不安が全くなくて快適そのものです。

ジェットヘルに取り付けました車種はマフラー交換済みのスポーツスター1200ccですアイドリングから時速50キロぐらいまではなんとか聴こえますそれ以上の速度では何も聞こえませんエンジン音、風切り音にかき消されてしまいます買って失敗です

最初に使う目的としてデイトナのレーダー探知機を繋ごうとしたが認識されないでボツ。次にスマホと接続は簡単にできた。電話して確かめたが、音声的には十分です。相手も良く聞こえると言ってました。音ですが、ヘルメットの中と外では同じくらいの音量で聞こえてます。（他人には絶対に聞かれたくないと言う人は無理です）　音楽も試したが、ボリュームを上げすぎると音割れします。（そこまで上げなくても良いと思いますが）　この値段ならソロツーリングだったら損はしないと思います。（自分もソロ）
