My 6 year old wanted a ‘proper’ pair of binoculars and, after seeing the other reviews where people have bought them for children, we went with these (part of his reason for choosing them was that they looked cool “like night-vision goggles”!). We have had them for a few days now and they are rather too advanced for him. These are not a kids toy but a proper pair and as such a little too difficult for him to get into focus etc. If you are buying them for a child I would advise they be at least 10 to get the best out of them (or be prepared to offer assistance yourself).That said, I had a go with these binoculars this weekend for the Big Garden Bird Watch and I love them! As a glasses user I have struggled with binoculars in the past but am able to use these with no problem - the adjustable eyecups mean I can get them into a good position. I’ve also tried them without my glasses (how I previously had to use binoculars) and they work well like this too. The image is lovely and clear and the colours seem really bright and true to life (I’m assuming this is due to the multi-coated lenses that are advertised in the product description!). My son wants to try using them for some astronomy next time the skies are clear and I’ve no doubt they will also perform well. They seem to work well in low light levels (watching foxes in our garden).I’m also pleased with the build quality - they seem robust and sturdy without being too heavy. My son can lift and use them fine and I don’t have to worry too much if he knocks them slightly. Optical equipment can be fragile and a few light bumps has not impacted the image on these. The binoculars themselves come with a case, cleaning cloth and carry strap, which are all good quality for the price.Overall I would happily buy these again – a proper pair of binoculars at a reasonable price.

This was a gift for my 12 years old as he loves adventure and this just made it perfect.Easy to use and the quality is superb. Highly recommended.

These binoculars were purchased for my ten year old, they appear to be very sturdy and well built.My lo finds them easy to use and they fit his face perfectly. They come with a carry case and lens cloth.Overall: impressed
