This is perfect for Florida weather! Got this for myself to replace a small, flimsy umbrella that broke after one use. I was looking for something compact, durable, and that would actually protect me from the rain. This came quick and nicely packaged. I was surprised when I first opened it. Definitely bigger and heavier than I thought, but it's no problem since it will actually cover me and it folds very nicely. Opening it is quick and simple- just a push of a button. Closing it, on the other hand, took a bit of practice. Still very impressed with this umbrella, though. I've had this for a few weeks and it's holding up even after being tossed around in my backpack. I love that it's plain black, very durable, high quality, and fairly priced. I expect this to last me a few years.

I loved everything about this umbrella until it self-destructed. In London. While it was raining. Of course. This happened in an elevator up to my hotel room as I was trying to completely collapse the umbrella. It was wet and slipped out of my grasp. The bungie cords are so powerful that when it expanded the connections between the bungies and the stem were ripped asunder. No more self-open. No more self-close. No more working umbrella.

A little shorter/ more compact than others, easier to push closed. Used it many times, never had a problem with it.

It only lasted a month. It is very elegant and very easy to open and close but like all umbrellas, it is not windproof as indicated

So when I first received the umbrella I was impressed and loved it; once I used it it was another story. I only used the umbrella two times, because by the second time being used, it broke. It was raining and the umbrella just couldn't handle it. Now the umbrella doesn't close or stay open at all. It's ridiculous that only on my second time using it it broke. I had to use an old umbrella I kept in my car in order to keep dry. Never again buying this product. If I could give it a zero rating I would.

After reading some great reviews, I decided to order it. I am disappointed with the size and it's so hard to close. In couple of days, I will update this review, my son will use it.

Compact, well made, high quality. Durable as promised. Pretty sure it isn't stormproof, but it does a better job than most umbrellas.
