VTech CS6509-16 Accessory Cordless Handset, Red | Requires A CS6519 Or CS6529 Series Cordless Phone System to Operate

I just got this extra handset and set it up within minutes! It is compatible with the Vtech model CS6509. Works perfectly. It "registered" itself to my original phone docking station quickly. Red color is also very pretty! If you are looking for the model number of your original phone but don't have the owners manual on hand, I found mind by taking out the battery out and the model number was right there.

I love these phones - and the red color too! So easy to find if I put them down somewhere. The one feature I wish it had was a verbal caller ID. I had that on my last phone and it was great because I didn't have to pick up and look at the phone to see who was calling. That is especially helpful with all the telemarketing calls that come in despite being on the DO NOT CALL list.

I bought this item as an add-on to a VTech phone system. It worked OK for a few days, then it stopped working completely - wouldn't receive nor make phone calls - there's no dial tone at all. Went on the manufacturer's web site where they gave some suggestions, and I followed them. The handset started working for a few more days then stopped again. Tried the troubleshooting steps again, and again it worked for a while. However, now the return period is up and the handset won't work at all. This is the last VTech product I ever buy.

Great! The different colors make it so easy to know where each hand piece goes when someone is done talking.

I been using these phones for years in my two story home. Sound is clear and works though out the whole house. Now they make different colors which is great because I own 4 phones that's all the same colors and forget which goes where. Now this is not a problem and they make multi-able colors so as to know which one goes in what set. Awesome.

Good phone for the price. I wish it had one more phone included. Nice color. Also my old phone spoke out who was calling. This one does not. Nice sound quality

Works well; easily registered.After getting this, I procrastinated on registering it to our existing phone base. Finally I set aside some time, got my reading glasses, laid out the instructions, and was ready to tackle the dreaded registration process. Then I read the directions - "Place new phone in old base and wait one minute." DONE! Wow that was easy!
