chilling and believable
Fantastic. This is the start of the third apocalyptic series I have read and each one is thrilling and chilling at the same time. Absolutely believable. Makes me want to be a prepper immediately.

Way to go Mr. Akart! Another awesome, exciting series...
First off, I would like to say that I have read all your books (I think so, anyway!) With each new storyline, you pull the reader into your character's lives as we journey where you lead, and it's as if I am watching a movie.I must admit, with each new series, after I have finished the story, I always tell myself "...best Bobby Akart series ever...!" When a new series comes out, and I dive into it, I ask myself "...how could it ever be better than the last one...?" And each time, I repeat again, "...best series ever...!"I am now into second Geostorm series book and had to write this review, right now, not tomorrow, just right now!! So here is the reason...In each of your series, your research is evident and you weave a storyline around the research making it seem as if I am reading headlines! I must also remark on your incredible dry sense of humor, which is also weaved into the story. Case in point: in the Geostorm series, there is, of course, as there are in your other series, a fictional POTUS. I am a native Californian & have lived most of my life in CA. Some of your characters, I can figure out who they might be based on, relatively easy; others are harder. In Geostorm, I believe you are spot-on with this "fictional" President, if I am right about his identity (his first name starts with a 'G' just like your character.) I will not blow your character's identity, and love the characteristics you use to explain him. Your description of POTUS seems to align with who I think he is based on, rather uncanny (of course that is, if I'm right or not!)Anyhow, I love not only your writing style, but your sense of humor and how you insert it into storyline; it always seems to come at a time in the reading, when a good laugh is needed! Please don't keep your faithful readers wait too long for further books! Also, have you considered another Gunner Fox series? It seemed you left an ending of the asteroid series, a kind of possible opening for more fun in Florida with the gang. This review turned out pretty long, but I am overdue for a review of your books. Please keep writing!!

Akart
My first read for this author. A bit unnecessarily verbosen. Nonetheless a decent read. Liked the theme quite a bit.

Amazing Author
Definitely a thrill ride from beginning to end. Usually takes the first book of a series to build the characters and their strengths and weaknesses. But even then it is an exciting story that is plausible and he does his research. Not for the squeamish as he paints a bloody picture with a lot of his descriptions. Great read. This is the third series I have read of his and the other two, Yellowstone and The Lone Star pnes were tremendous.

Another winner by this amazing author! Thanks Bobby!!!
Ok so this book is so plausible it's a bit scarey if you like me know a bit about geostorms and pole reversal. It was crazy that right at the end of chapter 12 I actually had a panic attack, hands sweating, heart pounding the whole nine yards lol.The main characters emerging in this first book have drawn me right into what I feel the best books do, make me care about these fictional beings. I'm over the moon excited to see what happens next. The research and insights Bobby researches to make his books is fanominal. Also the fact the author is so easy to contact via fb and fb messenger as I go through his book and want to say thi g directly to him is extraordinary. It might take him a bit but he always answers my questions which let's face it most authors just don't bother doing. He seems to be an amazing man to write plausible story's about things we really need to realize COULD happen. Then he also takes time to show us the reader's he cares and is interested in what we have to say. He one of my top favorite writers so p,ease give h9m a chance and read his books. The very beginning is a bit technical and might put so e people off but it's more like to give you context before the story starts, my cousin almost gave up after a few pages but I got her to just skim since she didnt want all that and she's in love with the book too which is why I mentioned this. So happy reading and be sure to check out his other series even if this isnt your cup of tea.

Great read
Good character development with some humor ,science, amour, andadventure rolled into one. There is a lot of people killed in the book but it isn't gory although he does go into detail

Good Read
This series novel is very good. It reads well. I noticed few grammatical mistakes. The plot was well thought-out. It does a great job of bringing geology, zoology, and meteorology together to explain the extreme weather conditions we are now experiencing. The believability of the story is increased by the author using present events and people as historical background for his near future plot. There are two main shortcomings in this book. First is to market it as a three book series. I understand the economics and marketing strategy for dividing it into three e-novels. But, I still don't like it. As to his writing, Mr. AKART does a very good job of description, dialogue and explanation narrative. His weak points come when he tries to be a romance writer. The romantic and sexual side tracks read as if an early teen was describing the occasion. But it is a good read, and I am about to order book two. !!

As good as, if not better, than his Yellowstone series!
I finished reading the first book last night - had nightmares most of the night thanks to that book! I am an older reader (I'm 72); some of you might remember a movie called "The Core:" that came out quite a few year's ago, starring Aaron Eckhardt, Delroy Lindo and Hilary Swank. While the book and the movie are different from each other, there are similarities. Many of the effects from the shifting magnetic poles are evident in the movie: eg. birds falling from the sky, solar winds finding a hole in the magnetic field, etc. Perhaps having seen the movie recently (I have re-watched it many times) and then reading the book was what gave me nightmares. The effect on the animals in the book remind me of Patterson's book "Zoo".Nonetheless, the book grabs your attention and never lets go - the characters are interesting and believable. The plotting is similar to Akart's Yellowstone series. Although that one didn't give me nightmares. The kids from the main family in the book a long way's from Indiana, their battle to return to the family home should be thought provoking. If you have never read Bobby Akart start with the Yellowstone series, then read the Geostorm series. You won't regret it! Supposedly, there are 3 more books in the series; I hope they are published soon. I like reading his stories in book form so that I can share them with my friends. You can't do that with an E-reader.

Fantastic
Just love the way Bobby Akart writes, I can never put he's book's down. You don't get lost with too many characters jumping backwards and forwards, just enough characters to keep up with and be able to follow the story
