This is not an expensive set. It will not be 100% perfect. It works very well and we have used it for the last 8 months. We have one very stubborn golden retriever boy that's just turned a year that we used this to train him with. We also have a very smart boy that will get into anything he can. Lastly we have a mutt that is a brat and thinks she needs to show her brothers the limitations of our property boundary. We chose this set due to not having the finances to put in an underground fence and since we had 2 puppy brothers, they were too young for the fence shock collars. This has been a very useful tool in training as well.Pros:Waterproof- taken to rivers, lakes, pools, baths you name it, we've probably done it. We did have the remote fall in the river or puddles and it was just fine.Good response- all 3 settings work well for their intentions. The beep is a great warning tool to use in training and for non emergency recalls. Vibration is strong and intermittent and a good tool to get their attention when distracted. Shock works well for emergencies and is very adjustable to meet your dog's stubbornness.Comfort- easily adjustable, with soft plastic covering on the prongs.Price- a tenth of the price of the professional ones.Light- the built in light on the remote is not the brightest, but it does work well. The collars also have flashing green lights so that you can see them in the dark like little fireflies.Battery- can last days to weeks with light use.Remote- easily cycle through the collar numbers with one button.Cons:Delay- the vibrate and shock function have a delay. Vibrate is a second or two and shock is about 3-5 seconds. They are safety features built in.Tips: always feel for yourself the different levels of vibrate and shock. This allows you to choose an appropriate level for your pet.

I have 3 dogs so I got the 3 pack. The shock future definitely works I accidently zapped myself, lol. I'm not too sure it's working as well on my dogs as it did on me. They seem more attentive/responsive to the vibrate future which is fine by me honestly. We're about 36 hours in and they're already making steady progress with training while using these.These are easy to set up. Simple to use. The remote is easy to understand aswell. We have 3 meduim sized dogs and the size is perfect. I have it double looped which is fine. I could cut it but I prefer not to. I like the caps on the prongs it seems more gentle than the typical bark/E collars that just have metal prongs.So far so good. I'm glad I invested in these.Update after aprox a week: we love them. We've had no issues with them activating in any way without us using the remote. The remote needs to be woke up before using so no accidental activations by pushing a button on accident. The huge variation of strength settings for vibrate and shock are incredibly helpful. With their being 3 modes it's great to give a warning beep before taking further action and it seems to be enough for them. We've seen steady progress with training aswell.

This did not work well with a large dog . to weak for him.

I have three dogs, two Frenchies and a pug. Each of them has tried to run off from our back yard (which isn’t fenced in). So, to keep from having to chase them through the neighborhood, I purchased these collars. The collars work great! I have had to use the shock function a few times, but the beep or vibration keep the dogs in the yard almost 100% of the time.I had one issue (my fault, I lost a part to the collars), and customer service was great about helping me get a replacement.Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase, not to mention the incredible price for three training collars. These work great and are a great value. I’d definitely recommend them!

I’ve gone through all kinds of shock collars in the past so I’m familiar with them. I needed new ones but the ones I’ve bought before were no longer available so I came to this brand because of having a third (as backup) and felt the price was decent for three collars. I use two of them for two Dobermans. One thing I don’t like is when I press a button, for example I’m on channel one and want to beep/tone, it takes several presses of the button to finally get the collar to beep. This happens for beep, vibrate and shock. If you haven’t used the collar recently, it takes SEVERAL times to finally get the collar to do what you want. Now, I use my collars 95% of the time for beeping and vibrating. I want shock as an absolute last resort. If I for whatever reason needed to shock, this collar is not reliable. I feel I shouldn’t have to press the controller buttons several times to get it to work. I did one time use the shock option and it was absolutely useless. Kept increasing the shock level all the way and my dog barely flinched (was trying to retrieve my dog from chasing an animal into the woods). My dog wasn’t far and the shock (level 99, the highest) didn’t even bother my dog. And I know the collar is on cause the green light blinks when I pressed the button. And the collar is on tight enough to make skin contact. I’ve used different shock collars in the past and never had to go all the way up on shock level.Overall, don’t bother. There’s better ones.

I live on 80 acres with five fur babies. Four are very young and are in the process of training. It is pitch black at night and wildlife is roaming around during the last call of emptying out for the night. I can see where they are as their collar has a blinking light. I have never had to use the shock button as they respond very well to the vibration mode. My female chihuahua used to take off causing me to yell, cry, and scream for her to come back. I thought she was going to be the hardest to train. I actually thought this was not going to work with her. I am so pleased that she learned in one day using the vibration mode to stay close to me. It works great on the two males as well. The device has all of the features I wanted. Vibration, shock, light, sound, and blinking collars. I do not have to use the shock button and would not anyway. I have a remote and three collars at a very fair price. One collar and remote can cost almost $100.00 and it would not work for my three fur babies. Prices at the pet shops are ridiculous. This is a great deal and even if you have one dog to train and do not need the other two collars this is well-worth it even for one dog. More than pleased with this purchase.

The unit and collars work well, the problem is with the charging. We have 3 collars and one remote, this make 4 items to charge, the charger only allows 2 items to be charged at a time. So if you are using this on three dogs like most would be the three units will run out of juice all at the same time leaving you with only being able to charge two items, then the other one and the remote. If they used a universal jack then we could make use of other chargers like a type C connection.Seller reached out to me to send me another charger, but how he reached out was against Amazon's TOS and I could not give out my address to ship it due to their TOS. Also when offering a solution we should not be expected to change our review because of it.

EDIT: The batteries in this set are terrible compared to another brand I have many years older!Works great for my 3 big dogs. I have not had to use shock option yet but I like that i can program the remote to work on same channel for all collars if wanted. Easy to find the dogs on a dark night with the bright flashing light on the collar. Excellent delivery time! This controller also works for other names such as timprove
