I made a scrapbook for a 100 year celebration!

I have very mixed feelings about this album. The design is beautiful, and that’s the reason I purchased it. The flag cover is perfect for the pages I just finished scrapbooking. That said, I won’t be making a habit of buying this brand. I cut my scrapbook teeth on the popular home party brand and now buy most of my albums at the craft store chain with the rhyming name. In comparison to those albums:1. This is very obviously a paper cover and feels as if it will be very easy to damage.2. The spine cover is paper instead of covered cardboard. Instead of sliding in, it must be screwed in with the pages, and the solid part of it isn’t terribly wide, so if you add many expanders, the screw slots will show. Also, this makes it much harder to reassemble when adding pages.3. Protective sleeve is a close fit and feels brittle. If you need to add any pages, it will not fit, leaving the cover without even that minimal protection.4. Expansion posts aren’t a good length. I added two packages of refills and the expansion posts were simply too long, even using just one set. I don’t like that the pages will get more abrasion from the posts this way.5. Pages aren’t the quality I accustomed to. I’m concerned about them holding up long term, but that’s currently just a theory. Based on reviews complaining about holes tearing out and the look of my pages, I opted to put them in without separating them first.So, the album arrived looking as nice as the photos, but based on more than 20 years of scrapbooking, I’m doubtful it’s a long term investment. The quality just isn’t there. If you’re making a thin album (no refills, so you can keep the sleeve on the album) for a gentle adult, and the flag is perfect for your theme, it’s good, but if your album needs to be thicker and/or will get heavy wear, look for a cloth covered album with sturdier pages.

Holds the pages nicely

I loved the look of the American scrapbooks and how they were wrapped and sent, however, I was perturbed by the way the outer corners of each book (I ordered 3 of them) were not carefully folded in and secured on each book. For the price, it should have been tacked securely. Instead, threads were coming apart that could not be glued as I tried that (even with clear Gorilla Glue).I had to get metal clips to hold it together and used pliars to squeeze the ends together which was an added expense and additional time on my part. Each book had the same problem on all 4 corners which was disturbing. It was hard to find good quality military scrapbooks without paying a fortune for them. I loved the look of them but the quality of the corners were poor.

I wanted an album for our military certificates and this was perfect. Looks nice, great price. Only things we didn't like were that it's a bit tedious to add more plastic sleeves, and you only have so much space to add them anyway because as the album fills up the cover opens more (it's made out of hard cardboard or something, so there's no stretch or bending), so unless you don't mind the cover being open wider you'll have to stop after you have so much stuff inside. For example, I though it would be a nice touch to display some of our old uniform morale patches in the last few sleeves, and it thickened things up way too much so that the book wouldn't totally close when it was flat. I took them out since it didn't look good.

Used this to make a book for my fiancé in service of our letters back and forth! Turned out very cute and the flag is just fitting

Beautiful, sturdy and well made. It was a little difficult to add the extra sheets but after we got that figured out the album is Spectacular! We will enjoy it for years!

The pages fit well and being expandable, it can accommodate as few or as many pages as you require. My only misgiving is the quality of the paper spine and whether it will deteriorate and fail soon. I may take it off and laminate it, to give it a bit more robustness.

Wie der Titel schon sagt, ist das Album Cover wirklich schön, aber leider kann man die Albumhüllen die ja eigentlich das wichtigste bei einem Fotoalbum sind, nicht verwenden! Zwei der Hüllen waren bereits ausgerissen als ich das Album erhalten habe und die restlichen Hüllen reißen sofort, wenn man die Seiten nur ein Mal umschlagen möchte. Absoluter Schrott und sein Geld wirklich nicht wert! Ich rate hier vom Kauf ab!
