Amazon Basics Permanent Markers, Retractable, 12 Count, Art Supplies for Home, School, and Office Use, Black

This product seemed okay at first, but after about 4 uses/clicks, the pen flap that keeps it from drying out does not retract. The "click" gets stuck and either does not eject the tip or it wont go back in and thus dries out. I very quickly was not able to use these as long as I was hoping due to the malfunctions. I also found them drying out faster, not sure if it was because it not fully closing or the are not sealing well. I LOVE Amazon, but these markers were awful! Please keep in mind, this was about a year ago (2023), so maybe they improved them.

For some reason these clickable permanent markers really "clicked" with the household and make using markers much more frequent and enjoyable. These work well, came in a nice variety of colors and are replacing some that had dried out/finished working.I do think the clickable markers do dry out faster than regular ones with a regular cap-- not by extreme amounts earlier-- but I do find myself replacing them a little bit more frequently. It's worth it for the convenience factor.

Love that they are retractable. Lasts longer since there's no cap to loose. Clip does break easier than the name brand ones

I used these at work but they dried out really, really fast! I kept one in my pocket during the day and then in my locker overnight. Each one only lasted a day or two. It's a shame because they're super handy and I like that they're slim, so they didn't take up a ton of space in my pocket. They just don't really last that long and I'm not sure why. Great concept, good color at first, but I wouldn't buy them again.

These markers have been working well for me so far. I've had them for about 2 months now and I've only found one that has dried out after usage. I didn't use it much, which was disappointing, but it did start to dry out and write in a very light. Almost skipping, pattern. Other than that the fact that they are retractable markers makes my job that much easier! So, for the value and the usage, is definitely worth it because of the price.

Do not buy. You get what you pay for which is junk pens. Sharpies cost more because they’re worth it. Already had 4 stop writing with little or no use. All of them stop retracting pretty much immediately. Sorry I missed the return window - now I have a bunch of pens I know won’t work, and I’m out $15. Wish I’d spent it on actual Sharpie brand pens.I’ve disassembled a pen - the retraction mechanism is overly complex, using plastics that will easily deform, especially with the friction of retracting. Also there’s no lubrication (these plastics will swell with common lubricants, would require something dry, like graphite).Surely testing exposed these issues, but Amazon (or more accurately, the manufacturer) decided the failure rate was acceptable. This experience has put me off Amazon branded products - clearly they don’t care about even providing nominal quality.

Easy to use & the colors are great. Thick point but good for posters & what not

Although the colours are not as striking as sharpies, it sure does the trick for my markings on my laminated patterns.

I've gone through three of these markers in two months. They're great other than that. If you're not using them every day then they should work for you.
