improve sound quality out of your Wiim Ultra USB connection-
It was really easy to hook up, and I did hear a staging improvement. I was using a WiiM Ultra as source, which just has a crappy USB implentation, going to a Geshelli J3, now over COAX from the DDC.Worth it.

Surprisingly effective digital reclocker
I have a respectable, audiophile grade stereo system based in large part on the mighty LAIV Harmony DAC. I became aware of digital reclockers via various YouTube videos. To be frank, I wasn't expecting much of reclockers in general and the Douk in particular given its price. I was wrong. The Douk made an instantly noticeable improvement to sound quality in several ways once I connected it between my audio PC and the Harmony. I used USB from my PC to the Douk, and IS2 from the Douk to the Harmony DAC. The most notable improvement was in increased transparency and detail (the Harmony is no slouch in these areas on its own). I also heard deeper, fuller, tighter bass combined with a fuller, more detailed treble. I highly recommend this reclocker or the similar SMSL PO-100 device for high performance audio systems using digital sources if you're on a budget.

Sounds pretty damn good
I keep almost buying a dedicated streamer like the Cambridge CXN but then wonder if I can get similar results cheaper and more modular so when they come out with a new CX whatever next year with a much finer DAC I won’t be pouting about it. Anyway so far so good at first I tried their small DSD which worked ok but seemed kind of flaky and would just stop playing after hours and would need reset (unplugged and back in) still sounded good.Upgraded to this unit with a good USB C to USB B cable and an amazing wireworld coax audio to my NAD DAC / amp it sounds great and no issues with it just stopping at all. Source is M2 MacBook Pro running Qobuz and Tidal.I would definitely recommend it and although I do believe in cable and component burn in I can’t honestly be sure if this box itself has gotten better or the upgrade to the wireworld Coax but it really does sound incrementally better all the time.

Really Great USB to I2S Converter
This thing works perfectly right out of the box; it allows me to stream a much higher quality I2S digital signal to my PS Audio DAC. That allows the DAC to playback all file formats natively and in 32-bit (where applicable), and that's a huge performance gain, especially with native DSD files vs. DoP (DSD via PCM). And the parts selection of the internal components is superb; it's hard to believe that it can be manufactured with this level of quality at this low, low price point. I loooooove this thing!

Requires frequent power cycles
I use this device to provide both optical and coax digital audio ouputs from my iMac via a USB interface. In general it works fine. There are no artifacts in the audio and my DACs generate good quality sound. So when it is working it works fine. But frequently it just disappears from the list of audio devices in my Mac and I have to cycle power to get it to be recognized. This is very irritating and forces me to frequently touch a box that would otherwise be hidden out of view since it shouldn't require any physical user interaction.

White noise often as song startup
I use this device as a USB to Coax translation from a Linux server, connected to a McIntosh C2500 DAC.Often, at the start of a song, my McIntosh spit out white noise. It never did this before with other device.I tried the Optical out and got the same random bug.To me this unit is defective or a piece of junk.I have to hunt for another USB to Coax translation device.

Simple and cheap converter to use your standalone audio components i2s input without pin switching
1. Got it to use my usb printer style cable to convert usb to i2s input into my dac2. As soon as i plugged it in my dac my dac read dsd stream.3. I started messing with the functions of the dac and lost the dsd recognition ?? (I should have messed with the dsd settings - niw i created new problem for myself)4. I played regular SACD disc without the pDouk DDC & i2s to compare with and 1without the DDC i2s converter.5. There is a major sound difference immediatly in my low budget system. With Douk DDC and i2s t DAC using wiim ultra -- music sounded better than my SACD disc.Sound sounds alot more better quality
