Love this camera for the light weight & ease of use. Pictures come out great, my only complaint is that it doesn't have a view finder, other than that it's a great little camera

I'm still learning how to use some of the techniques as I am a beginner in photography and wanted this mainly to use for bird identification. I am mostly using it in auto mode, but this is a great little starter camera. The picture quality is excellent, the zoom is fantastic and it is really user friendly. The battery life isn't bad. I can go out for an afternoon bird watching and I haven't had it go dead on me. I do make sure it has had a full charge every time I go out, though. Excellent bridge camera for the money!

Love the size! Great little SLR and it produces great photo quality once you learn how to adjust aperture, shutter speed in conjunction with “film speed” (sensitivity) in manual mode.There is a learning curve for its use, so get a Canon manual!!!Auto mode does very well, with limitations.A tripod is essential when doing extended zoom work. I have 2: one desk top or car hood stubby and one floor model. And to enhance your photos, get the appropriately sized polarizing filter.

This camera is similar to my old Canon, Powershot SI 30, so many features are the same. The battery is smaller and easy to take in and out. This 540 is easier to hold. Capturing video seems to be better than my old camera. I have 2 dislikes. The battery does not last as long as my old camera that has larger battery. For capturing different types of images, there are various selections, like "portrait", "sport", "auto". My old camera had an option called "landscape". This new camera does not. It may try to auto focus on nearby objects rather than the over all scene. I have yet to try the new technical areas, bluetooth, WiFi.

*Update* (Belated)Everything went super smooth.I was fully refunded for the camera and able to replace it.Great customer service.I'm super bummed about this camera.I used it and everything seemed to be working fine.I uploaded my photos AMC replaced the camera in its camera bag.However, the next time I went to use it, the lens would not extend at all.It made a brief clicking noise like it was trying but nothing happened.Afterwards a lens error screen popped up and the camera would restart.It didn't work again after that.I've returned it and now I'm just waiting to see if I can get it repaired/replaced.If not for that it would've been great.The pictures I was able to take came out beautifully.

I wanted to upgrade old Canon Powershot elph. I really didn't want to got the route of the full blown 35mm DSLR. After extensive research and reading tons of reviews I decided on this model. It is a great camera,especially for someone not wanting a full blown 35MM. Takes great pics in auto mode but there still are plenty of options in manual mode. I chose the Case Logic camera bag DCB-304. It is big enough to fit all my accessories (2 battery charger with 2 additional batteries, portable small power pack, extra sd cards and various small cables) and yet not big at all. Very satisfied with camera and bag.

The zoom's great, very useful. It might be better than the macro for upclose shots of smaller creatures/plants. After a few weeks of use I really like and dislike the autofocus. It's both the cause and cure for several frustrations. When it works it's great, but sometimes you'll try to refocus and it's good for a split second then decides to stay blurry, which isn't fun but doesn't seem to happen too very often. And there is a manual focus option to avoid it altogether.

Since long time, I was in search in such camera. The photos are very good even in darkness. Easy to use. It is worthy product

La cámara es estupenda para principiantes o si se desea comenzar con l fotografía, es fácil de transportarse y ligera, excelente producto, el método de envío no fue el más adecuado ya que perdieron la dirección.

A câmera SX 540 HS da Canon chegou no dia 24 de setembro, ultimo dia útil da entrega. Produto embalado, mas a caixa dentro da embalagem, digo, a caixa da câmera não estava lacrada. Recebi o produto, abri, e estava tudo certo. Todos os itens que vem junto com a câmera (bateria, carregador, alças). A Câmera nova e nova. Sem problema algum. Ainda bem, pois fiquei preocupado a caixa não estar lacrada, mas está tudo ok. A Câmera funcionando perfeitamente. Tenho aínda alguns dias de teste previsto, mas fico feliz que vou usá-la sem ter problema algum. Está tudo funcionando perfeitamente. Comprei pela Amazon sendo pela Câmera Center, eles não enviam pelo Correios, mas pela Jadlog. Uma dica, fique todos os dias acompanhado o rastreamento de seu produto, se for pela Jadlog ligue para eles assim que chegar seu produto na sua cidade e assim prever a entrega de seu produto ou então ir até ao posto da jadlog pegar seu produto, se esse for o caso. Câmera SX 540 HS Canon, maravilhoso Zoon de 50x, fotografias de ótima resolução. Tem opções para você configurar a forma como vc irá tirar suas fotos. Sugiro que leia o manual do produto antes de comprar essa câmera. Eu gostei muito e estou aprendendo mais sobre esta câmera. Obrigado.

VERY Happy with this camera. I was looking to update from a basic "point & shoot" without spending a ton of money in the process. After some research, this camera is absolutely perfect for people looking to delve into photography a little. It has a huge amount of options available including the unbelievable zoom feature, you really can capture the craters on the moon! You can also simply leave it in "auto" mode and take fabulous pictures using only the zoom feature to get great shots. I find it a great size for carrying on hikes or travelling, the strap is a little flimsy and I would advise looking into the many wrist strap options available. I would also advise a back up battery, many inexpensive options available. While experimenting and learning this camera, I have already taken many photos that look professional and I've printed and framed. The close ups that you can capture of stills, wildlife, people or scenery are unbelievable. I did a lot of research and comparing before I decided on this model and I could not be happier with my purchase, as usual ~ great service and delivery from Amazon and I think a very fair price. I highly recommend this camera.

Gostei muito da câmera. Tem todas as funções básicas para iniciantes, como eu. É fácil de alternar entre as configurações e bem leve. A entrega foi antes do prazo.
