easy reading, high interest
I bought several of the Flat Stanley books in anticipation of taking five grandchildren to see The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley in a live theater performance in Phila. Two of children had read several of the books in the series at school. One of the children was a reluctant reader but he devoured the books and asked for more in the series. It was heart warming to find books that held his interest and he was able to read independently.

Flat Stanley Rocks!
Got this for my Granddaughter, who just finished 2nd grade. She loves to read & asks me for another book when she finishes the one she is reading. She even calls me long distance to read to me. It's a wonderful way to stay connected!!

Item as described. Quick delivery.
Book turned up promptly. Reading to mixed yr 2,3,4 class who are having topic on Africa. Whilst I think flat Staley to be a bit of a strange concept for this age range to take seriously, they really seem to be enjoying it!

Good but some difficult language
Bought this book for my grandson who thoroughly enjoyed the original Flat Stanley story. He is young but is a good reader and we found some of the language in this story quite a bit harder than in the original story. Maybe we should have stuck to the books written by the original author, Jeff Brown, until his vocabulary had increased. Having said that it is a good way of expanding it but when there are too many new words it interferes with the story.
