Love this thing
I purchased this device, I work security in nightclubs and bars, as protection for myself against false claims, etc. I absolutely love this device for the fact that it is VERY durable. It has fallen off, been knocked off, etc multiple times and not one single problem with it. It has been in the rain with me on many, many nights (I live in Seattle after all). It has saved my ass on several occasions from the "he said/he said" situation with customers & police. It has saved me from accusations by disgruntled female customers who have been ejected from the nightclub and then decide to say that I have touched them or something. Sorry sweetie, but it's all on camera. My only complaints are that I have to hook it up to a computer via USB to show anyone anything (which I knew about when ordering). When I am at the door under our light, it will record in full color and captures audio very, very well. However, if I change positions/turn around towards where there is less or no lighting, it goes into night vision which records in black and white. This can be a little annoying and disrupt the quality of the recording a bit when it goes back and forth a lot. So keep this in mind if you are somewhere where there is good lighting and the poor/no lighting. One other thing is that I don't keep it constantly recording, so as not to kill the battery constantly and because it tends to make people uncomfortable talking to you when they have not done anything. So if something happens, I have to decide if I have enough time to activate the recording before taking action. If it is a quick/violent encounter, I usually do not have the beginning recorded, as I am going to defend myself or others before I try to start the recording. You have to hold down the video record button for a couple seconds before it starts, which I don't always have time for. I have rarely used the capture picture button, for whatever reason, my single picture mode camera hasn't been reliable, despite pressing it, it doesn't always take a picture. So I go straight to video record mode each time. It would be much better if it recorded on a loop and only saved when you hit the button (going back 30-60 seconds of recording time) as some other models do. It would also be nice to have a small view screen on the back for an instant replay. The clip that comes attached is terrific, it almost always stays put and is fully adjustable to cover whatever angle you have it clipped at. I highly recommend this product for a standard body cam, if you don't require some of the options I suggested. Very durable and rugged, great picture quality and audio quality. Still working great after all this time and use.

Good camera bad software might make this a paperweight.
Camera looks/works good, software NOT.Got today, charged it up while down loading software control panel. Once charged I connected to laptop and software worked long enough to make initial set up. So download and install worked. This was the only time it worked. When I came back later it just keeps crashing and will not work anylonger. As far as the camera. I clipped it to my shirt and went about my day working around the house. Went into the basement which was pretty dark, and into a storage room which had no lights on. Night vision worked pretty well sort of like watching a movie of someone with a normal flashlight. You could only see what it was pointing at, no peripheral vision. Normal lighting showed a very nice video of what I had been doing in my workshop. Very sharp picture. I had a tv on behind me as I worked, sound turned down pretty low and the mic picked it up easily. My son came home later and all our interaction was recorded nicely. Finally I heard it beeping and it's indicator light was flashing letting me know it was about drained. First charge lasted 3.5 hours. That's on the 1080 setting which is good because if I wanted to change it to 720 I wouldn't be able to because without the download working there is no control over the setting. I really wanted to give this a 3 star rating because with bad software you have no way to make any setup changes. However the camera did work pretty well and with 3.5 battery life it's going to fit my current needs so I'm giving it a reluctant 4 star. If you can't get the software to work you might not want this body camera. Without being able to change settings might just make this a paper weight for you and your needs.

Great product from Transcend
Great product from Transcend. This body cam is the best one for money right now. Had issue with getting one with UK power adapter, but replacement came with USA power adapter. Amazon was quick in getting me the replacement. Picture quality is great, sound is great too. Had no trouble picking us voices in front of me, but only okay with people talking from side of me. Easy to start and stop recording at any time. I tried recording video while walking my doggies, but watching video afterwards on my tv made me dizzy with all the bouncing around. I think this (and other body cameras) are made to record best when stationary. I will try wearing it on different parts of my clothing to see if I can minimize the bouncy video. Definitely holds enough charge for several days of dog walking ;-) Wish I could control the "active recording" light, and the automatic UV lights for nighttime recording. Also, it only records in one resolution (1080p). I guess these features make it easier to use since it has limited options.

Great Bodycam. Built very well. Awesome spring clip.
I have had this camera for several months but have only used it three times so far. So far, I am impressed. I wore it twice while riding my motorcycle and the video was very good quality. I also used it one time while doing an undercover bike theft sting and it worked great. Audio is good and low light performance is good as well. The field of view is perfect for a body cam in my opinion. The low light LEDs are visible in dark conditions, they glow red, so don't expect it to go unnoticed. During daytime operation, I got about 3 hours on the battery but while being used in low light, I only got about one hour before the battery died. I assume this was because of the LEDs consume a bit of current. It also got noticeably hot when operating with the LEDs on. The spring clip is very strong and durable and it appears that a lot of thought went into the design.
