Very Good
The XPOWER B-4 worked really well on my long-haired, double-coated dog. Its noise level was well-tolerated, too. However, I didn't realize that the B-4 version takes a bit to warm up, because it doesn't have a heating element. Instead, it uses its motor's heat to warm the air coming out of the hose. That takes about 10 minutes. In retrospect, I would've gotten the version with the heating element. It costs a little more to get that feature, but I think it's worth it in the long run.

Can't say enough good about this blower.
I adopted a 6y.o. American Eskimo, and she has really beautiful long white hair. I figured in the long run, I'd be better off grooming her myself. So with friends and internet advice I got the equipment to do it. I researched the blowers and borrowed a different brand to try out, and this one wins over that one, no contest. When they claim they are quiet, they were right on. The borrowed was as shrill as my Dyson vacuum. The most noise this one produces is from the air exiting the nozzle. The variable control is really wonderful, compared to a 2 speed. I can turn it down or up to where I need it. I haven't tried the vacuum feature, but I like that it's an option. I'm hoping to use this on my horses, I know I'd never get a grooming vacuum near them, but this might work as a blower on their shedding winter hair with some patience. I've even thought of using this to blow the cut grass back on the lawn, but the instructions say not to use an extension cord....guess there had to be some limits :). One more thing, I was thinking of getting the 4HP version, but as I'm not a professional, I thought I'd try this 3HP first. I'm glad I did, its got all the power I'd ever need and more. Disclosure: I'm just a regular person, I have Not received anything from Xpower, I just like this blower that much!

Great machine with pretty decent power
I've been using this HV dryer on 2 standard-sized Labradoodles every 3 to 4 weeks for the past 2 years and the machine is still running strong. The air does warm up after about 10-20 minutes of use, not from any heater but from the air running over the motor while traveling through the machine. I love the relatively quiet operation, variable speed dial and durability of this unit. I also purchased the wall mount to get the machine off the floor, which is a big plus. If I had it over to do, I'd get their 4 HP variable-speed dryer, because with drying 2 dogs, faster is always better. I took one star off my rating only because the owner's manual does not explain how the hose attaches to both the motor housing or the plastic piece that accepts the attachments. I originally thought there was a malfunction with the hose when the hose unexpectedly (and always during a groom) popped off the unit and later when the hose attachment piece popped off repeatedly. Both problems were remedied once I knew how they attached. XPower's customer service is GREAT!UPDATE: Its now the end of 2019 and my X-Power B-4 is STILL going strong after continually grooming my 2 standard-size Labradoodles every 4-6 weeks. Still loving it!

so far so good. my dogs don't freak out about the noise ...
so far so good. my dogs don't freak out about the noise because it is not that loud. we are still in the learning curve so have not dryed them all the way yet but what I have done the tolerate real well. ( I have three golden retrievers). My oldest and youngest are afraid of everything so it is taking them a bit longer to get used to it, (never been blown before) thus the reason I've not made them stay for a full dry yet. My middle one loves it, (Mr. I'm not afraid of anything) so he got much dryer then the other two. :) I love the variable speed of this dryer. for getting the dogs used to it I've used the lower speed and on the fear nothing dog I just stared with higher and he loves it.

Poor Quality
I am dissapointed that it only lasted a day working. The motor died in the middle of me drying a dog. This is not the first time I purchase this product, the first one I bought lasted me two years, so I was expecting the same quality but unfortunately this product wasnt. I will be returning and wont be repurchasing.

Very good for home use
This is nice its quiet for what it is. Could be more powerful but fine if you are doing in home grooming. Took a good hour to dry a rough collie. The vacuum feature works fine but the collection part is very small and u have to unscrew the hose and reattach it to the other end. Not to bad but still a pain I'd prefer just getting the regular vacuum out than deal with that thing. It does heat up some as it runs but doesn't seem to get too hot

I am disappointed that it cannot be turned any lower
This dryer is very powerful even on the least setting. It scares my Westie so much she hates it.I am disappointed that it cannot be turned any lower. The only warmth is more like room temperature after it runs for a while.

Low noise, powerful, and compact. Fantastic dryer!
The noise level is the lowest I've used thus far in grooming. The dogs have been more receptive to the use of this high velocity dryer compared to others I've used. I also don't feel like I've lost my hearing after using it at work. The power on it is great! I was able to blow out a Syberian Husky like you wouldn't believe. It has made my job so much easier. Great product! Stores compactly. I can fit in my rolling travel case and transport it to dog shows easy breezy.
