The IKEA Kalas Plate Set is absolutely perfect for my kids! The plates are sturdy, colorful, and just the right size. I especially love that the silverware is safe for them to use on their own, without me having to worry about sharp edges. Highly recommend for any parents looking for a kid-friendly dishware set!

We recently built a kids playhouse. The dishes and food that we had for our daughter (20 years ago) didn't hold up well. Plates got snapped in half, silverware was tiny, cups were too small and broke easily. This time when searching I thought about using real kids wear and my son recommended IKEA. It is perfect. The size is good, it comes in a set of six, and the quality is excellent. If they find a way to break these I will be amazed. Perfect for our house/cafe.

Durable, dishwasher safe and above all great value. Not too heavy and great for little hands to grip. Safe for little ones to use.

Love this set. Specifically looked for these after being passed down an older set of the same kind. Only complaint is this color scheme does stain a little (my husband borrows them and uses hot sauce) where my older set does not have visible stains. But would still buy again!

I love this set! I first got the spoons because my daughter’s feeding therapist highly recommended them. They have been very helpful in minimizing discomfort while eating. I eventually decided to buy the set! They are the perfect size! I use them to help me keep control of my food portions.

I purchased a set of these plates and silverware about 8 years ago and they are still going strong! I wanted to get a new full set to more easily keep track of what is being used and when. My toddler leaves milk cups all over the place, just takes them from the table and FLYS! Now I can tell by sight that the cup is from a few hours back and NEEDS TO GO. Plus, it’s just cute to have a whole matching plate setting. The new set is just as reliable and strong. It washes easily, doesn’t retain food colors (we all have some spaghetti sauce stained Tupperware somewhere), and holds up in the dishwasher. I love most of the colors, although I don’t much care for the white and grey for kids. The cutlery is still great for little hands and the forks actually work (I find most forks for kids don’t work as intended, who needs a wide blunt tonged fork?) however the knives are still useless. I don’t know why they are included. Young kids don’t need any knives at all, and once they have the dexterity, these aren’t sharp enough to be of any use. I let my toddler cut banana slices with them, but I don’t need six knives for that one task. Enough ranting about knives…All in all, this is a great set for kids and the plates, cups and bowls are all a useful side for older children and grown ups. It’s not often children’s products can be used extensively after kids grow up, so I highly recommend.

My kids have loved these dishes growing up. The cups and plates are the perfect size and the silverware is easy to use. We find ourselves reaching for them even as adults. We’ve replaced them a few times over the years but totally worth it!
