As a natural part of gouache, you need a spray bottle to spritz some water while you use it. Love this set, going to have to replace a few colors soon! A joy to use, love the set up, has lid and cups sit in a well. Very easy to replace without a lot of cleaning of wells! Quality made gouache for the beginner or intermediate artist. Lovely color choice in the 24 color set. I love the fact you can put the jelly cups in any order you wish. Look forward to traveling with this set! Comes with three brushes that are really nice, a filbert, round and flat.Through trial and error I found out that, once you open the garage, you need to take that pallet outside of the whole set up. That was the problem with my gouache starting to dry out. My OCD took over! It sure made a difference when I took the pallet out of the lid and put the lid back on firmly. I read where some people were having trouble with their lids fitting correctly, well if you have your pallet inside yeah it does not completely seal. if you’re worried about your pallet, not sealing properly you could always take a piece of plastic and put over top of it and then shut your lid. Kind of like those pallet extenders where it has the special paper that you place inside of the box with the lid. You don’t want too much moisture because it can mold . This is just a suggestion what I have found to work in the past. I love this set it’s Scott a really nice array of colors, and the itself is very opaque. If you notice your gouache is getting too dry, you can always scoop out a little, like an eighth of a teaspoon, put it in a cup, and add a little bit of water and mix until it reconstitutes to the thickness you need.

I bought these gouache paints to try after seeing a lot of YouTube reviews. They don't disappoint. You get a lot of paint per cup, and with the mix of warm and cool tones, it's easy to mix any color you want. They're all vibrant on the page and the lovely matte finish makes me swoon.On top of that, the case is really cute and came with three brushes. The brushes have worked great for this paint. Just a warning - it's actually heavier than it looks, so be prepared if you're throwing it in a backpack.I live in a very dry area, and even with a piece of freezer paper over the paints and the case shut, they're already starting to dry a bit on top. I'll be taking other people's advice here and misting it before and after I use it.My only complaint is that it comes with two blacks instead of two whites. White is essential for lightening opaque mediums, so I was bummed about that. I'm glad that HIMI is selling large refills now, so I'll be buying that. I just wish I didn't have to do that right from the get go.Overall, great paint and I highly recommend it.

This is my first time painting with gouache. I normally work with watercolors but an artist friend of mine recommended this product to me to try. It is great for the price, the colors are super vibrant, and I love how well the paint is holding up so far. My only complaint is setting the paints up, I had a bit of a mess when removing the wrapping but I made sure to do it in a safe spot. I can't wait to do more paintings with them!

Good but expensive for the amount of money you pay. Also it drys really fast so hard to bled but also when I was opening each of the paints I got paint smudged on my shirt and It won’t come out so it’s stained. But the brushes were quite nice and high quality. But quite nice looking and nice to display. But if you forget to cover it the paints dry really fast. Over all not the best value of money. Over rated.

Been thinking about getting these for a while and finally did. And honestly super worth the money IMO. The paints are nice, they mix and blend well, i love that they are water based but still opaque. A good introduction into the gouache medium and great bundle. It came with all 24 paints, 3 brushes, and a mixing palette for under $30. Im for sure getting a larger set next time

Specifically because this is gouache paint, even if the paints dry out you can always rewet them and make them like new with water. I really liked the set of brushes it came with and the quality of this product. I still have this set and it still works great despite it drying out.

I was so surprised and impressed with this set of gouache! It’s so heavy and full of beautiful colors. The box is so cute, the paintbrushes are nice and it even comes with a palette. For the price you cannot beat it.

Great value for the price.You get (24) 30 ml cups of color that come in a sturdy and durable container. The paint will last a long time and reactivates pretty well. I usually spray mine with water before storing and have not had an issue with mold.The consistency is a bit thicker so you have to water the paint down a bit more to have it go down smooth but that just means a little goes a long way.My only negative comment on this product is that the paints closer to the edge of the container tend to dry out very quickly. Once it gets too dry you can reactivate but it takes a bit of time and patience. Not a deal breaker but it does get a bit annoying if you have to do this everytime you go to paint.I look forward to finishing this set and ordering the larger set of 52 colors. I think I'll open colors as needed for the new set to avoid having some colors dry out too quickly.
