WORTH EVERY PENNY!
Let me start by saying this mod is amazing! It came pretty quickly. After cracking it open, I found the instructions were mostly useless. The pictures were really low res, but thankfully there's a few install videos on Youtube. Install was a pain, and took me alone 3 hours. ( Spent 1.5 hours trying to replace coolant rail with flex tubing. Mine was stuck on really really well.) After getting the new coolant lines run, it went fairly smoothly.Getting down to living with it afterwards. It's louder than I thought it would be, but the sound is awesome. It's loud at high revvs, but quiet at idle speeds. The more throttle you input, the louder it gets. (Loudest at full throttle, not necessarily high revvs.) Performance: It works. I'd estimate a good 30hp gain at the base, and at least 15-20hp at the wheels. (I've a few other modifications, so my numbers may swell at bhp.) No matter what, it's better than that factory airbox. Fuel mileage: It actually improved it. Im seeing a whopping 33-34mpg on the highway, and around 23-26 in the city.I love it, and would totally do it again.Pros:Great soundImproved performance (You'll be cranking an extra 30bhp.)Improved gas mileage (34mpg on the highway!?)STICKERS! (THERES LIKE 15 OF THEM INCLUDED! crank out an extra 10hp per sticker xD )Cons:Tricky install (with coolant lines, everything else is pretty easy)Noise complaints from your neighbors in your mailbox (because everywhere is an empty straightaway now.)Decreased fuel mileage because you cant stop flooring it and giggling like a Japanese schoolgirl when you hear the roar. Whatever you do, don't pair it with an ATLP Quad tip exhaust system with J-pipe and 3rd cat delete. Then, now you've screwed yourself. ;)My 350bhp Accord loves it.

Awesome Look, great sound... we'll see about performance
Mainly bought it for looks and sound and couldn't be happier. We'll see if it improves fuel efficiency or not. Installation was a breeze using the guide provided, but I've been working on cars since I was 14. But even though, the instructions are pretty clear and give good pictures. Only unclear part I can see someone having problems with is with the coolant line. The first section to disconnect is clear, but the second isn't, just know you taking out the entire assembly and replacing both lines (that are attached together) with the hoses provided.I installed on a 2012 TL 3.5. Amazon and even AFE's website doesn't list it as compatible, but there is no difference in motors between the 2012 and 2011.The photo is for the polished. The 'B' in the model number is for BLACK, which is what I wanted.

Waste of time and money
Purchased for 4G TL Sh-AWD install instructions were not clear at all but not exactly rocket science so I was able to figure it out. Once installed almost instantly P1075 & P0172 check engine codes popped up which in turn caused the AWD system to shut off. I searched day and night to find out what might be causing the codes. replaced PCV and MAF sensors checked for vacuum leak to no avail. Reverted back to stock intake, reset engine and haven’t had a problem since. This Intake sounded great for the two seconds everything worked but this was definitely a waste of money and from what I read on various forums not really any substantial power gains. Maybe I needed the pipe, exhaust and ecu tune for this all to work but not worth the hassle. Probably best to avoid

Sounds great in my TL SH-AWD. Directions are absolutely terrible.
Good product, quality is very good. Mine does not have the red Takeda logo that everybody else's does (and as is pictured). So it's a little frustrating that I paid $250 for a name brand item that looks like an Autozone generic item. I'm removing a star for that. I'm removing another star for the terrible directions. Words can not express how awful the directions are for this. Before you think, "It's an intake kit. What kind of directions do you need?" THIS IS NOT THAT INTUITIVE TO INSTALL. The J series motor has a liquid cooled throttle body and you need to reroute new coolant lines for this. Directions are absolutely terrible. Just awful. Pictures were absolutely terrible (worse than a 10 year old cell phone camera, and I'm not exaggerating) and steps were unclear and some left out completely. I wish AEM made a kit for this car. I had an AEM intake on my last TL and loved it.All of that said, the black intake looks factory when I pop the hood in my TL SH-AWD, which I love. The factory plastic engine bay covers in the Acura cover up the filter itself, so all you see with the hood popped is the black intake tube disappearing under the engine bay's plastic trim, which I like. You lose around 5hp under 3,500rpm (which you can't notice) and you gain around 5hp over 4,000rpm (which you can't notice). I BOUGHT THIS STRICTLY FOR THE SOUND, AND WOULD BUY IT AGAIN JUST FOR THE SOUND. It truly makes driving aggressively more fun. Hearing VTEC kick in on my 3.7L V6 with this intake is addicting.

When vTech kicks in
Won’t be disappointed. Fairly easy to install if your handy. Sounds great when you give it gas. Makes the v6 really sound throaty, and really gets fun when vTech kicks in- yup I said it. Wasn’t expecting any power nor mpg gain and honestly haven’t noticed or paid attention to any improvements. You might go down mpg because you’ll be wanting to hear it growl every chance you get.

NEED MORE THEN JUST THIS.
ONLY BUY THIS IF YOUR BUYING IT WITH THE THROTTLE BODY SPACER this air intake i put on 08 acccord without throttle body spacer and its really not roaring or barely haves sound. But together with throttle body spacer its roars and gives the car more power for sure no doubt about it. But if just buy the intake i dont see much power difference.

Sounds amazing when you make vtec sing.!!
It came with everything to install including a rubber bushing to mount where you remove the stock air box. Looks great and sounds amazing!

Excellent!
Purchased this intake for my 2009 Acura TL 3.7L SH-AWD. Better deal on amazon.ca than than importing from the states! Works very well and fits perfectly. Technically it is NOT a cold air intake, it is a short ram, although it utilizes factory tubing to draw in cooler air. Very happy with my purchase and would purchase again!

It looked great under the hood
Did the trick. If you want the sound and the look this is the buy. It looked great under the hood. And i had no problems with the sensor.

Good quality intake but I was disappointed when I opened the package mine intake don't have red "takeda" logo so amazon pictures here are fake but you won't see any difference in performance with out the logo
