As I have read in previous reviews but thought it was a one off, the pen wasn't attached. Quite separate with a bit of elastic around it. Disappointing but nice diary. Threw the pen away. Cheap looking!!

I got my 2023 diary from the same company on Amazon last year, the quality was great, the pen substantial, held by a robust leather strap that also secured the diary shut, with a press-stud. Was rushing this year so just clicked on last year's order and was taken to the same company's 2024 version, which I ordered without paying too much attention.Sadly this 2024 version turned out to be of much inferior quality. From material it's made of, to the lack of a strap securing the pen and diary, it just feels cheap. Last year the pen felt like a quality item, this year's feels like a plastic piece of trash, held in place (for now) by a flimsy piece of glittered elastic.Worst of all, on the back cover there was one of those infuriating bar code stickers slapped on - right over another bar code panel that was printed as part of the actual back cover. As you do, I tried to peel the ugly sticker off, but as always happens, it was almost cemented on, and came off in bits and pieces, leaving a sticky residue, making the diary horrible to handle. I tried various cleaners to get it off, and even resorted to a scourer, but that just ended up scouring a hole in the cover material.In the end I just ended up throwing it in the bin, searched on Amazon and found a company offering the same design as I had last year, and have just ordered one of those. It was practically the same price, just a quid more, but ten times better quality. If I were you, save yourself the hassle, go straight for the superior quality one. You're welcome. :-)

Lovely diary. Should have bought several for Christmas presents

This diary is not bad for the price. I wanted one with a pen, however the pen with this one is not fixed very firmly and flops about not as good as another one I bought last year at a similar price from Amazon.
