Smells Terribly of Chemicals and Openings are Huge!
While there are not special characteristics about this item, it is exactly what was ordered and was expected. There are two issues with them however. First, the holes at the top are extremely large. The average flower stem is too small for them. I use them for a butterfly habitat, and even tall branches of milkweed are too small for these large openings. Also tried with roses I had, and the opening were still much too large. The second issue is the smell. They smell very strongly of chemicals. I have washed them out twice and now dry, they still smell. I am going to put them outside in the fresh air in hopes that that will help, but as of right now, I cannot use them for my caterpillars. No item should arrive smelling so strongly of chemicals.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought these floral tubes for a school ceremony where each kid was getting a rose. I wanted the rose to be in water and these tubes worked great. The are really sturdy and easy to use. I didn’t pay attention and bought the large size which was more than I needed but I was pleasantly surprised that it had a flat base and can stand on its own, see photo. Now I can use the extra tubes to give away flowers from my garden to teachers. I was very pleased and I highly recommend this item.

Great for raising butterflies
I use these vials for fennel and milkweed cuttings to raise Swallowtail and Monarch butterflies. They are larger than most bud/ cutting vials. With the small vials I had to replenish the water twice a day to keep the cuttings fresh. With these vials, there is plenty of water for the cuttings and I only have to change the water every 24 hours. This is my 3rd order of these over 3 years. They hold up well, they can be washed, and I continue to use them all summer. Perfect for my use.

Just right for food plants in fauna boxes
I use these to keep food plants fresh for insects in medium fauna boxes. Can accommodate short stalks of bramble easily and keep them fresh for a few days. Would probably be better for this purpose if slightly shorter and wider though so I don't have to cut as many leaves from the bottom.

large tube for holding lots of water
I bought these to use during the holidays for holding some greens to add to my faux Christmas tree. They are very sturdy and larger than others I have seen. I view this as a plus because they hold more water. I will reuse these for other occasions. My only negative is they are not green so they blend a little better.

Great for raising butterflies
Nice big tubes hold plenty of water so there's less need for refilling. The plastic cap keeps stuff (and caterpillars) from falling into the water. Flat bottom helps keep them stable. I highly recommend using a rack or something to ensure they don't tip over.

Worked great. Good value.
Needed containers to keep sunflowers fresh for wedding centerpieces. Used twinkle lights in mason jars, so couldn't put water in the jars. These were a perfect solution. Sunflowers had plenty of water to keep them fresh. Would recommend for large stem flowers.

Caterpillar>Butterfly Milkweed tubes
I purchased these to hold the milkweed stems up in the caterpillar cage. I put the tubes in small jars with paper around the tubes to hold them up (see photo). It solved my problem of keeping the plant fresh for the caterpillars. Works great. Thank you very much!!
