Regaining what we have lost
I have read a number of Godawa's books. While I share a similar viewpoint of God's sovereignty and ultimate control over all things (as any Christian should) Godawa's previous book on this subject (derived from the research appendices used in his fictional stories of OT notables) titled, 'When Giants were upon the Earth," was an eye-opener- not that it showed me that there were giants in the fossil record; (many websites prior to this age of Thought Control had already confirmed that to me) but that the BIBLE, and the record of other 'extra-biblical, biblically-endorsed' literature (such as the Book of Enoch) confirmed these truths- in other words, "Let God be true, though every man be a liar."This book "When Watchers Ruled" is much the same: being a sort of 'appendix sequel' (to point out to Godawa's willing audience, or those (like me) who want more corroboration for his fiction) that the ideas Godawa has presented herein (and in "When Giants Were, etc.") are neither odd, fringe, or heretical concepts, but are actually more in line with the Bible's own self-attesting witness as the Covenant Record of YHWH with His People [Amos 3:2, Matt. 1:21, etc.] far more so than any 'Rapture' scenario out there today, almost forty years after authors were claiming '88 Reasons the Rapture will occur in 1988.' Unlike, say, the "Left Behind" series of fiction (partakers of the same much-discredited DTS 'Dispensational' heresy as the '88 Reasons' author), the scenarios Godawa presents are instead, far more biblically-based and grounded in the unbroken witness of ALL Christians over the ages- what GK Chesterton called 'the democracy of the dead.' At almost 100 pages longer than its' predecessor, this book (I would say, as a pastor and an academic) is of great value toward understanding a true Biblical World and Life View- thus enabling people to 'renew their minds' as Rom. 12:2 suggests we should do. Do I agree with everything? No, but this is a far easier pill to swallow than the liberal eisogesis masquerading as 'theology' out there, today.

Great book about the origin of the divine council
The book contains a ton of research of old cultures such as Babel and China. The author goes the distance to show how the Bible is connected to its world.I strongly suggest this one if you want to know more about the historical events that happened when the Bible was being written.

An interesting read
The book has a very interesting premise. It is well detailed, so a great amount of thought went into to the subject matter. It is expansive, so it covers a lot of other areas which can be related to the title of the book. It is a plus for the book and the writer's knowledge. It is a book that can be recommended. Finally, the author makes a point to stress to the reader remember the time period which the content is researched .

An Absolutely Outstanding Work!
An absolutely outstanding work that delves deeply into the Ancient Near Eastern backdrop of so much of the Old Testament. One could easily spend hundreds of dollars on scholarly resources containing the information found within these pages. But why? The work has been done for us and all the fascinating data is right here. Hours upon hours of research are right at your fingertips ready to be discovered in minutes. Stretching from the Egyptian background of the land the Israelites left, to the Ugaritic background of the land they conquered, it’s all here. The Old Testament wasn’t written in a vacuum. Death personified, the underworld, celestial bodies representing the gods, etc., these are all themes and concepts that ancient Israel shared with its neighbors. You could spend time and money doing the research yourself, or simply take advantage of the fact that it’s already been done!

Great Book. A Definite Read!!!
This book is a definite read for any TRUE and EXCELLED Theologian who wants an understanding of true doctrinal teachings of the Holy Bible & the True Hebrews, Disciples & Epistles (Watchers) that wield the true power (Ruach) of the God of Israel (Elohim) vs. the Over-zealous Religious Paganized Beliefs of the Pagan Church we know of today and their "groupthink", "emotionalism" apostate teachings. The book shows the different views of each side and why The God of Israel and those that are the Seed of Abraham (Covenant Keepers) are the true heirs and Bloodline of Israel. 🙌👼💯

This brother is super thirsty and greedy!
The content in the book is phenomenal! Very well written. But I have a MONUMENTAL problem with the author literally referencing his other books in "and I KID YOU NOT!!!" EVERY OTHER PAGE! Seriously dude?! You feel the rediculous need to reference your other books that much? Leads me to believe that you are just a hireling that ONLY cares about selling books to fatten your pockets; And could care less of your impact on the Kingdom! Such a shame! Here is a thought.....place a pic with title of all your books on the inside back cover so everyone who chooses to do so? Can purchase your other books. Otherwise? You just seem thirsty and greedy as heck and could hardly be taken serious as a writer! Just some advertiser or promoter. Dont be so thirsty! Its distracting from your awesome content!

Another great book by Brian Godawa
This was an exceptionally enjoyable book and what I really liked; the Author backed up his claim with scripture. I enjoyed this book and purchased the Audio book also so I could listen when I was out.
