Just what the doctor orderedโฆ.at last!
After experimenting with a series of digital and analog watches for half a decade, (And maybe more), Watch finally meets my realistic, every day needs: a durable, inexpensive, large-bodied digital watch, which is incredibly easier to read, looks good on my wrist, and has little or no extraneous features. Granted that plastic strap isnโt exactly a luxury detail, but itโs working so far.

Exceeds expectations
I have 2 other perfectly good watches 1 a 15 year old Fossil analog Chrono and 1 5 year old Seiko analog Chrono (both weigh a ton) but wanted to go digital for an everyday knock around watch. I looked around and decided to give this Timex Expedition a try and I'm glad I did. Most important thing the price was right, I liked the look and size it's so lightweight forget it's there. The Blackout display does take some getting used to but so does a new pair of glasses, the Indiglo works perfect night or day. All in all this seems a good watch but only Time will tell I've only had it a few days so far.

Good Value
To keep this review short and sweet, I bought this watch for the first time at NAS Pensacola FL when I was in the Navy back in 2017, It finally broke and I replaced it in 2020 and this one is just now starting to break down. Never had to change the battery or anything. Buy it, wear it for 3-4 years and get a new one. And I was an Aircraft mechanic in the Navy and when I say this watch can take a beating, it can take a beating. Dropped it a from the wings of planes over 16ft drop. Smacking and banging my wrist on benches and the such. The first for as long as I had it, I am amazed how much hate that little watch can take. The only thing failing on my current one is the back light is finally clinching out. I think its the battery but it could be the watch.

Good alarm, good looking
I didn't think the face of this would be so hard to see, you pretty much have to hit the indiglo button to see the time, but I like the "camo" pattern of the watch regardless. It's alarm is really loud, typical of the timex ironman's and will get you up in time for work.Con: hard to seePro: Great alarm, great looks, perfect size, really rugged.

Very durable
Boyfriend needed a durable watch since watches he purchased would break while working. He would constantly buy watches at the store ecause they broke during the night of work. Every couple months he had to buy a new watch .I ordered this one for christmas gift and so far he loves it. The numbers are easy to read he loves the light . Great buy

Watch is a lemon, manufacturer support is ludicrous
I couldn't find a watch with a full product description, so I had to find a manual online. THis is the only watch I could find with a countdown timer that allows me to cycle for seconds less than a minute. This is how I do sprint training - 20 second count down that beeps and repeats. Other watches only countdown in hours and minutes, but not seconds. Or they repeat AFTER a series of beeps, which adds time to the cycle. This watch immediately loops to the next 20 second cycle. I've been using the Timex Expedition for decades. The only problem with my prior one was that I broke it trying to replace the battery. I suggest you take it to a jeweler when the battery dies (after 5-7 years).******UPDATE (2 months later): I had the watch for 2 months, and used it to measure my HIIT sprint training. Ran the chronometer and countdown beeper for maybe 3 sessions. Then I took it hiking in the mountains. When I hike, I start the chronometer and then click over to the time. I like to see how long I hike for without having to remember what time I started. I got a little sweaty, but this watch is water resistant so it should not be an issue. After about an hour, I switched to chrono to check on my time, and see it's been an hour. I then switch back to the clock and all the character lights illuminate, flash, and then the watch resets itself to 12 AM. I reset the time, thinking I hit a wrong button. I then switch back to chrono, and see that it too had stopped and reset. So, annoyed, I restart it and then switch back to clock, and the same thing happens again - the flashing, and the reset. Clearly, I have a lemon.Back on amazon, I see that I am one month out of my return window, so they point me to the manufacturers website. I email them, send them a picture of the watch front and back, as they requested it. After a few days they reply that I can ship it overseas, and repairs will take 2-3 months, and once they have it, they will tell me how much the repairs cost. This watch is 2 months old and has been used in conditions it was marketed for and clearly malfunctions. Overseas shipping!? Repair costs!? 3 months turn around!? Customer service for the world's most reputable watch company has gone to hell. Eff, this. I am tossing it in the trash an not buying from them again. Insane.
