Low score because Targa is so bare.
The XL model really needed to be amazing to make up for the lack of content in Targa as an otherworld, and unfortunately it's just okay. I also hunted down the flying drones, custodians/pillars and found the out of stock trun hunters, and the biom still feels empty. This XL is as lack luster as the rest of the Targa themed content sadly. The model is the 2nd smallest XL boss, doesn't come with a mission, and most of the 'epic' theat cards call for having two since they are underwhelming in a fight (pack only comes with one) If the gates of Valhalla finally release and they produce the library of Targa content w/enemy packs this might be worth it. For now check out the other better otherworlds that have way more content to collect, such as the swamps of jargano or the blaster wastes.

Cool robot and an epic boss.
The design of the robot is a great combination of familiar cues, like the joints and armor plates, with the alien, such as the eye, the extra arms, and detailing. It looks both menacing and kind of adorable. While the detail is a bit shallow for a wargame/deluxe boardgame miniature, the torso and arms are all moderately poseable so you can make the miniature a bit more dynamic. As for the rules, it's a tough boss. It works well with custodians of Targa who will repair it as the heroes damage it, but it can feel a bit too similar in style if you have fought the custodians a lot. I found it a worthwhile addition to the game and better suited as the epic threat for the City of the Ancients box, but not as visceral a threat as the Swamp Raptor was for Swamps of Death.
