Not what I expected
I thought the booklet that came with this product, would give instructions on how to perform some basic illusion..but it didn't. This was for a ten year old who tries to do his own illusions and I wanted him to have some how-to instructions. What we got were two cards that will look like continuous circles when you spin them. The booklet contains photos of simple illusions that you can look at. Similar to the 'do you see a vase or two people?' but no mention of now to do any illusions.Luckily it was only $10.

Fun set foot easy entertainment
Kids enjoyed playing with this. It was fun seeing their minds blown! They kept running to me to show me things. Some little orders were misplaced and like most of these sets, it isn't meant to last forever, but it's fun while their attention spans last and not so expensive that when you lose pieces you feel bad tossing it.

Reinforce what they have been learning about their sense of vision
Now that the kids have learned about their sense of vision, Look! How Your Eyes See The Body Book: Easy-to-Make Hands-on Models That Teach The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses reinforce that learning with the fun activities in this kit. There is nothing too high-tech, but the booklet of optical illusions (and explanations) is great. My kids like the spinning disk.

Real Neat And Eye-Opening
I bought this toy for my 7 year old nephew, and he thought the booklet of illusions was really neat, and he enjoyed discussing the illusions. The spinning wheels are also greatly enjoyed and fun. The 3-D markers are hard to use, as he had difficulty keeping both markers on the paper. The glasses are small and suits well for a child. I got the impression my 7 year old nephew enjoyed this toy. He is somewhat gifted and advanced for his age, so I can't comment what other children could get out of it, or what age this toy is best suited. My nephew read the book by himself.

Educational Fun
There were many things to do with this set and the kids had fun playing with it. Would have been nice to have more sturdy pieces. Some bent or broke easily.

It is what it is and the price is fair
This kit is nothing but a few round cards with printing and a plastic top to spin the cards. The cards to give the illusions promised. The kit probably didn't cost more than 25 cents to manufacture. But it provides good teaching point for early grade school kids. Written explanations are OK.

Four stars by default
This set is tiny... not exactly what I expected and I wish I would have chosen a different science set. It is a Christmas gift, so I'm kind of stuck. I gave 4 stars only because everything described is included.

Interesting to Parents
My boy didn't do much with this after he got it. I'll try again to get him interested in it!
