This trash can works great! The features and control panel design are simple to use and works well. The lid opens to slightly less than 90 degrees. This isn’t an issue from the front, but requires a little extra length when putting trash in from the counter behind; it does help keep food from getting in the hinges. The sensor is very responsive—almost too sensitive as we set it off walking next to the trash can—and it quickly opens again if we need to add more trash before it has shut. It controls trash odor. The 13 gallon bag fits the can well and putting the edge of bag over the ring and inserting it into the can is easy. The ring holds the bag securely while in use. Pulling the bag out of the can is reasonably easy as long as it isn’t overloaded. Filling the can to just below the lid gives us a full bag that is easy to pull shut and tie. This sensor trash can is a great value for the price!

I have three of these cans now. One was given to me, I bought another, and then when one "died", I ordered an entire other one before realizing I could have ordered order just the lid and saved some money. So I did that and now have 3. What I love about this thing is the size, and the inner ring. I will fully inflate my 13 gallon trash bag, keep my hands inside and put it into the can, then run my hands up the opposite side and it stays on place, so I essentially get all the room of the bag for trash and very little air trapped under the bag; and that's not to mention the ring at the top that both holds the bag on securely and seats the lid properly. Stinky garbage isn't an issue and I don't need to touch the trash to open it, just wave and it's good, then it closes itself. I'm quite happy with these cans and would buy them again if I didn't already have enough!!

Lid opening:Responsive opening. Very good and quiet. Bag hold:Hold bags just fine without a strong friction snap needed.Ease of removal:Removing bags is awesome compared to other cans. The top of the metal lip rolls to the outside to allow for a smooth bag removal as compared to others that roll to the inside for the bags to catch on when emptying.

Bought this to replace the one my girlfriend bought. I knocked it over and after one drop, the lid stopped working. Can't just buy a lid so I bought her a new trash can. I'ma go jump in the broken one now like the trash I am. Just kidding.

I have had several 9 Stars auto opening trash can (13 gal ). The reason being the motor gives out, which requires a repurchase.THIS new 15 gal is the best of them all. The sensor and motor seems to be much improved which makes this product an excellent value.Remember these products require 3 C series batteries which last about one year.

This can is really worth the price, compared to the models for twice the price. It is made well, the top opens and closes as described and over the last few months, I have not had any type of issue or problem.
