Works really good. This is the second one I bought the first one lasted me about eight years and then gave me an error message on the screen. I can’t expect too much more out of it especially for it being a good price. I bought another one of the same units. Use it every day.

Small and ergonomic.
Installed on 2018 Jeep GC Eco Diesel using the Mopar harness that came with the vehicle. Plugs in to the connector block on firewall. It does need to be spliced in to the brake control harness or buy an adapter. I did the former. Half hour install.

Easy to install (on 2003 Expedition). Easy to use once you understand Gain & Boost
This was easy to install (on 2003 Expedition). Basic use was easy, but one must understand, not just gain, but boost (and how it adds to gain). To me, the manual wasn't totally clear and I used the internet to understand. Then just had to experiment with what worked. (It depends on the trailer weight and cargo load AND whether it's a dual axle and whether both had brakes or only one axle had brakes). A starting point for gain was about 6. But that changes with the trailer and cargo. When we had a large double axle trailer (single axle brakes), a car and 2 motorcycles, we had a gain of 8+.For your trailer, lower boost all the way, then go for a slow ride with gain at 6. Manually flip the trailer brake switch to see if it brakes well. If it locks up, lower gain. If not enough braking, raise gain, but not high enough for lock-up. THEN you can add some boost for those harder braking situations (my understanding is that boost has no effect unless you're braking harder).

works perfect- it flashes the brake every 6-8 seconds, otherwise I would give 5 stars.
Plug and play -don’t forget to buy the correct wiring harness for your vehicle.

Very simple to install
My 2007 Tundra was already wired for a brake controller so I just popped off a panel, found the factory plug, attached the controller and it was ready to go. Worked great on first 1000 mile trip with the trailer. Much easier to handle the trailer in traffic with the brake assist. Adjusted for weight after loading and felt the same. Can't understand why I waited so long to install this.

Simple install
Simple install, although in a 2017 Explorer, there are no flat surfaces so you have to shim it to comply with the orientation required. It will get tested this weekend. Should it not work, I'll edit the rating.
