OK, but Mild Flavor. Could've Used More Filler/Vegetables. Pictures Misleading.
I received 6 of these meals and there were 3 different varieties (2 of each flavor). These curry meals are OK and the flavors are not too overpowering. If you are someone that likes a stronger (more intense spice) curry, then you would probably find these too bland. For me they were fine because I don't care for curry that is too strongly spiced. That being said, all 3 varieties tasted similar. There was a slight difference because of the filler, but the sauce was very similar in all 3 flavors.I think theses are a bit overpriced for what you get though. I realize they're "organic" and all, but they're kind of stingy with the filler. I mean they're vegetables and fairly inexpensive ones at that. I don't see why more vegetables weren't added. The picture on the meal's package DEFINITELY looks better than what you get. The color is not that vibrant and the pictures definitely make it look like you're getting more chunks/vegetables than you actually get. I'd say the Kidney Bean variety was definitely more skimpy than the rest. My husband said the amount of Kidney beans was OK, but I would've preferred more Kidney Beans, like what appeared on the package. The amount of rice is pretty decent and I actually liked this extra-long grain rice. It was not clumping and it had good texture and taste. I spooned the curry over the rice and my husband scooped rice into his curry. Either way works. While these are a bit overpriced, they are handy to pack for lunch. Simply peel off the entire piece of plastic film that seals it and place the open container into the microwave. They only take a minute and a half (90 seconds) to heat up in the microwave. The container was fine to take out as soon as it was done. They don't need to be refrigerated, so they can just get tossed in a lunch box. I do recommend tossing some other food into your lunchbox as well, like a yogurt or something because these bowls are a light meal.

Convenient, but doesn't deliver
For shelf-stable Indian food, these meals are not bad, but they are not great either. On the plus side, they are very easy to prepare - peel off the plastic covering, microwave for 90 seconds, and then you are ready. However, to call them a "meal" is a bit of a glorification, unless you are expecting a lot of rice, a lot of sauce, and not much else. The flavors are pretty good, and they also have a spicy bite, which I like. Unfortunately, the color of the food is nothing like the image on the cover. I include a photo of the chick pea curry. Instead of the yellowish-orange dish loaded with chickpeas, you get a very brown sauce with a paucity of chickpeas. The same was true of the other dishes. They were all different hues of brown, with very little of the vegetables that appear in excess on the packaging. The price, then, is high given what you get when you open the container. If that weren't enough, they are part of the scam anti-science NON-GMO project. That means they charge the consumer more to pay off the NON-GMO project to certify that the ingredients aren't genetically engineered. In fact, none of the products they use could you buy a GMO version. So, it is a cynical marketing ploy to take advantage of the scientifically uninformed.

Good Nutrition and Organic, too!
Prepared meals are not to everyone’s liking. I purchase them mostly for convenience’s sake, especially for my lunches at work, because they are so quick to make. I’m always looking for alternative to my usual frozen meals and that is what led me to try Food Earth Organic Indian Meals.I received a package of 6 different meals. These meals are shelf stable, so that means you don’t need to clear a place in your refrigerator or freezer. You can store them in the pantry. When you’re ready to eat, you just peel off the plastic covering and pop in the microwave for about a minute and a half.I was skeptical about how these meals would taste but I have found them quite good! They are certified organic, which is always a plus. And the curry isn’t overly spicy, which is another plus. My favorite is the Chickpeas Curry with Steamed Rice, but others are good, too. With some of the meals, the rice is kept separate from the sauce, in its own compartment. You them need to mix them together before you eat. This is a good idea, because the separate containers keep the rice in its most edible condition.Another reason to like these meals is that the sodium is kept in check. As many people know, the sodium content in a frozen meal can easily exceed an entire day’s recommended allowance, in a single meal. The sodium content here is more reasonable. The overall nutrition is good and there is no added sugar. It’s great to try new foods and even though prepared meals cannot match freshly prepared meals, there are certainly some prepared meals that are better than others. Food Earth Organic Indian Meals are better than most, organic certified, and easy to store and serve. They have proven a good addition to my daily lunch routine- an addition I plan to continue.

I received 6 flavors
Although the description says three flavors, I received six flavors. These meals are pretty convenient to have on hand whenever a quick meal is needed. It’s very easy to prepare. Just remove the packaging and completely take off the plastic that’s covering the food and microwave it for 90 seconds. After microwaving, the tray was cool to the touch on the sides which allowed me to safely take it out of the microwave without me burning my fingers. The flavor is decent. In my opinion, it could have been more flavorful. The pictures on the packaging looks much better than the actual thing. The potatoes that were in the potato and peas curry wasn’t as big as the picture shown on the packaging.I was very hungry before eating a meal. After eating the meal, I don’t feel hungry anymore, however, I don’t feel satisfied either. I feel like I need more food. The portions seems to be the size of what a child should eat, or someone that’s on a strict portion controlled diet or something like that. But overall, I think that they are good to have on hand just incase they are needed.
