Great battery for non-OEM
For a non-OEM battery, this is one of the best ones I've had. It lasted for 2 years before I noticed a drop in run time. Now it won't last more than an hour, but again for a non-OEM battery it was worth it. I will be buying another one.

Works Like A Champ
My Dell Inspiron is getting old and its battery just can't hold a charge for long. It didn't matter much because 99% of the time I'm working with it plugged in. But.... once in a while I need it to work independently and it's having trouble. FOR THE PRICE I couldn't resist putting a new battery in. I did my research and I made the right choice. It arrived on time and packaged with very good protection. It only took minutes to remove the cover and replace the old one. A fifth grader could do it. The new battery charged up quickly and a short test told me that I was good to go. Simple as pie and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Not even just an arm.

Excellent value
Exact replacement for OEM battery and performs great. My laptop now has great battery life before it needs to be plugged in. I am a satisfied customer.

Very difficult to install -- all screws must be put back in same place
This is the hardest replacement for me, and the faint-hearted should NOT try. NOTE: not mentioning cost of failure, you must know that some screws have to go back in the same place, so keep track of more than a dozen of those little guys. You can do it, IF you do it carefully. The edges of my Inspiron 17 clung together and had to be pried apart, and same for a couple of USB connectors -- don't use 'excessive' force, though. You're working on a computer. Be firm but careful! The DVD drive is removed 1st, and replaced last -- only 2 screws for that I believe. The 'puter is upside down for all this. Luck.

Great Rejuvenation For Computer
My wife always left her notebook computer plugged in and it finally shortened the life of her computer battery until all she did was complain about the short battery life. I bought this battery, plugged it in, and told her, again, to not leave it plugged in all the time; she needs to better manage the battery charging to keep it charged properly and to extend its life. She listened and has been happy with it now for quite some time

Died after 3-4 months of use. Battery suddenly would not hold a charge.
Bought the battery over a year ago. Procrastinated because to get to the battery on the Dell I currently own was not as easy as previous laptops. Had to pull off the keyboard to get to the battery. Worked fine for about 3 months after installation, and then battery suddenly showed 5% charged. I keep the laptop plugged in all the time. Over the next couple of days the charge went down to 0% despite being plugged in all the time. Now I have to get another battery and take the laptop apart again...
