but I must admit that I am especially in love with her earlier works with producer Javier Limon
I am crazy for anything Buika sings, but I must admit that I am especially in love with her earlier works with producer Javier Limon.

Ever since Mi niña Lola, I've been following Buika. Great mix, beat and fusion.

Amazing vocals with banal music
First off, I love Buika's voice. She's astonishing and sings with such incredible passion. I've seen her perform live, once. She was so intense! Scarily so, just her amazing vocals backed by piano, bass and drumkit in an amazing flamenco meets jazz frenzy. And she has some wonderful albums. This latest release is a new departure (although it has some similarities to her early eponymous album Buika ).The only track that comes close to Buika as she is in a live performance is 'The Key (Misery)', a slow builder which ends up in a frantic finale.Unfortunately, elsewhere there are too many English vocals and way too much soul and RnB influence. 'Carry Your Own Weight' with Jason Mraz is dreadfully banal. No idea who he is, definitely no desire to find out more. Very bland. Many tracks have a bit of a reggae or dancey feel and seem pitched at a more mainstream audience than her previous releases. They don't really hold my attention. 'Waves' does have the brilliant flamenco voice of Potito but he is quite low in the mix and gets smothered by blandly tinkling keyboards. This could be the way in to Buika if you've not heard her before and come from a more mainstream musical position. It's not terrible - Buika's vocals are always amazing, although they are much better in Spanish than English. She never quite lets rip in English, although the closing track 'Sister' in English, with just the backing of an acoustic guitar is a delicious end to the album. Buika

Mejorable
Disco poco atractivo en su conjunto. No hay cohesión entre canciones. Me esperaba mucho mas de ella.

J'ai préféré les précédents.
Bien produit, peut-être trop. Cet album est trop radio. Elle reste cependant une belle artiste et l'album s'écoute avec plaisir.

FUERZA VITAL
BUIKA ES UN TORRENTE DE VOZ HECHO MUJER. UNA FUERZA QUE SUBE DE SUS PIES DESCALZOS Y RECORRE SU CUERPO PARA ROMPERSE EN MIL PEDAZOS EN SU GARGANTA. ENERGÍA CÓSMICA HECHA CANCIÓN
