Avoid. Not worth the price. This is not your best option.
Edited:2 months use and there's a fault where they are stuck on aux input, meaning you can't use any other mode now. I'm a month past Amazon's returns window. With the clarity of hindsight, here is my alternative suggestion to you: For listening to music at work, with no wires dangling and with good sound quality. Buy an inexpensive set of standard ear defs e.g. peltor-style with a decent amount of room in the earcups. Then get the wireless earbuds of your choice, to wear inside the ear defs. Bluetooth them to your phone. Enjoy better comfort and better sound quality and spend a lot less money than you would have with this disappointing product.I've been using these at work for a couple of months now. If you're looking at these because of the DAB feature, do not bother. The antenna reception is truly terrible on this model and DAB reception breaks up constantly, even when working outside the building in clear air. So my suggestion is you go for a less expensive option that has bluetooth and FM, but no DAB. This is what you will fall back on anyway to play music off your phone.Bluetooth range is only about 10 feet with these before the signal breaks and then buffering does a double speed catch up (which is amusing for a short while only). The sound quality can be described as 'meh' at best. Quite dull. Battery life is only about 5-6 hours before it is drained. The headphones are quite heavy to wear and the speaker blocks pack out the ear cups so much that your ears are in contact with them. This means your ears get quite hot and sweaty after a while.I do not recommend these and wish I hadn't bought them. Sadly, having spent best part of a hundred notes, I feel obliged to get use out of them.

Perform as expected. Pleased I bought them
I have been wearing earbuds under ordinary ear defenders and decided these would free me from the cable and be slightly more useful. They work. The active Nosie suppression does happen - it is not startling but it is a useful bonus. The bluetooth works very well, although I would have liked slightly more volume, but in use it is fine. In general audio quality is good, better than the earbuds at any rate. Not hi-fi, but hey. I'm cutting the grass or using a table saw.The FM radio works, and is relatively easy to tune. The DAB radio works well, until I put it on my head and then it stops working. But that's DAB for you, a nearly useful technology. It is possible to tune the DAB too, though slightly fiddlier. The software has worked hard to make 4 buttons do everything, and that means it is slightly fiddlier than it might otherwise have been - but I don't spend that long setting it up compared to using it.It is exactly as uncomfortable as any other ear defender to wear - pressure over the ears and a sweaty interface. I don't suppose there is any way round that. The headband is adjustable for length but not width - I will have to take the pliers to the bow and bend it a bit.So, worth the money? frankly, summat similar might be found for £20 less. If I had realised that the DAB would not work I would have bought summat else - I paid the extra to get DAB.

Is quality of sound important to you?
Having read the majority of the reviews, I felt justified to take a punt on these headphones as I thought the combination of ear defender and dab radio was a good idea. First thing I noticed, and I’m not alone in this, is the difficult to comprehend instructions! Having followed these to a T, I stumbled by accident on setting up the dab but what a disappointment!! Not only did I find the firmness of the defenders boarding on being uncomfortable, and I don’t have a big head, I had meagre dab reception inside with plenty of interference in between. Taking them outside, I thought it would be better but there seemed to still be little reception and the only time I managed to get any constant connection, was when standing still - rubbish when you have to move around. On top of this, was the quality of sound. Having previously used a digital dab portable radio before or the radio app on my phone, the quality of sound is bad by comparison. Sent them back and got a full refund.

Very pleased, excellent addition to my workshop.
Dislikes........the instructions aren't very clear. This means that there is a lot of faffing about trying to set up the radio. Small screen which is hard to see, this also makes setting up difficult. The need to take the headphones off to change the radio station or swap to Bluetooth. Rather tight fitting, no means of adjustment.LIKES.....the Bluetooth on the other hand is very easy to set up and clear sound when phone calls come through. Once set up, the radio is good sound quality. Battery (charged through USB cable) seems to maintain a charge well.OVERALL........as you are only likely to set up once its a small price to pay. Generally a very good product, well made, excellent quality

Over priced and doesn't perform as expected
Having now used these Ear Defenders for 4 months I feel I can write a review with authority. They perform poorly as ear defenders when compared to the bottom of the range Pelton Optime; even thought the Pelton have a lower db rating. I have used the Prohear with power tools, mechanical noise and garden equipment and the performance is always the same, very disappointing. The radio reception in both DAB and FM is poor and intermittent especially on DAB. This is for both indoor and outdoor locations. My previous set of Honywell radio ear defenders far out perform the Prohear. Very disappointed as the Prohear are priced at the higher end of the market. Would not buy again.

Better than I thought they’d be
We live in an area that has terrible reception ( for everything) so I wondered if it was worth paying the extra for the DAB ..... it was. The DAB works brilliantly. As ear defenders they are better than the cheap ones I bought from the DIY store, and although the clamping is firm it’s not uncomfortable. Blue tooth works brilliantly but phone calls are not too clear ( the mic is a bit muffled). Battery life is good and the general build quality seems top notch. Anyone who thinks they could be louder should have been wearing defenders sooner. Pretty happy.
