This was a good item but it only fits USB C connections. Since that's not what we have, we had to return it. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been great. Please read description thoroughly before purchasing. USB C CONNECTIONS ONLY!

USB hubs are great to use when you need more USB ports on a computer that doesn't have them already built in. This is used mostly when you use many USB drives, external hard drives, or just have a lot of peripherals. Now and then, most of us one time or another, we wish we had more USB ports on our computers/devices and this is where this product comes to shine.I have to say before I even mention anything else, this product looks amazing. The whole body is made with a nice finished matte silver which matches the color of the MacBook. Beware before buying the product because the male, end connecter is USB C. This won't work in desktops and other devices unless they have the USB C port. The blue color of the USB ports also look really nice with the whole design. The cylinderical build of the product and the nice circular polishing at the end of the hub also add to the look overall. Another good point about the design is that you get a velcro strap which allows for a permanent mount of the hub. The benefit of the velcro is that you can always take the hub away from the place you stick it, which allows it to still be portable after using the velcro, unlike most other brands with permanent tape.I have to say, the look of this hub is a big strong point and it will allow it to fit into any situation, professional or just casually.The functionality of the product is also very well thought through. The hub has ports on the back and the front. This allows one to use one side to keep more permanent plug-ins and the other side for temporary on-the-go usage. This means that if you plan to add some peripherals to your computer using the hub, you won't have to face it backwards or pull the cables to the front. Another thoughtful aspect to the design is that the whole hub has a capability of delivering 2A and 5V for all 7 ports. However to do this, you will have to use the wall adapter and plug in the device. However if you wouldn't like to do that you always have the option of not using the wall plug, and just plugging in the connector itself into your computer which will give you 4A in total. This allows for a lot of versatility in the hub and shows the design is well thought-out.Overall I have to admit, the hub is a bit pricey ($34.99 as of now), however it has a pristine, polished look, and a thorough design. It can be placed in a professional and casual setting and is very versatile in its usage and features which make it very high quality and worth the price. Very durable and well made. Light and slim, made out of aluminum. I honestly didn't know this plugs into a MacBook. I should have fully read the title, I read it pretty quick and thought it would be able to plug into my iMac but nope I was wrong. Now I need to buy one, I always wanted one anyways. Right now I just use it as a charger for some of my devices and it works pretty well. Charges my iPhone and iPad fairly quick.
