So far so good. It's not a regular hair gel. It's not sticky. It keeps my locs in place. S little goes a long way. You do get a lot for your money. It doesn't leave any residue or flakes. I will be repurchasing this for my locs. It doesn't have a scent.

I like braids and twists. One day I might loc my hair but braids and twists is what I keep.I hate gels. They mostly are sticky and I feel like could damage my hair and I just can’t stand them. So I get my hair braided with grease and grease feels good but it has NO hold. So my braids don’t last looking good for too long.This stuff right here though, this Genuine African Formula SuperGro Hair Gel… this stuff, it’s like something I haven’t seen before. It feels like hair grease and has consistency like if hair grease and gel had a baby, but isn’t greasy and holds like a quality gel. It’s not sticky. It’s not oily and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It has all these natural ingredients and protein in it. I have high porosity hair and I need protein… but it never leaves any sticky or greasy residue. Any other gel or grease, after I get my hair done and put on my Durag, you can see the product all in the Durag and on my pillow.With this stuff, even when you accidentally use too much, it just goes into your skin and hair like it’s supposed to and is never left sticky or left in my Durag or on my pillow.I can’t explain how this stuff is. It makes my scalp feel good too and makes my braids last.I took this to the few braiders that do my hair and asks them to use it and they were all shocked at this stuffand they now just buy it themselves and use it as their braiding gel for all their clients.This stuff is good. I hope they never stop making it.

This gel is everything you would want in a gel. It holds really good with minimum product, moisturize, with no build up. I really like this gel, but unfortunately I can’t use it because I have a sensitivity to some products that have biotin in it and it caused me to have a reaction.

I like everything about this product! It does exactly what it is designed to do. It came packaged well and the product is a game changer for natural hair care. As others have said, it smells good, it isn't heavy or hard on your hair - for me, it actually made my hair softer with regular use. It has a natural sheen that it adds to your hair and also lays edges well. I have 4c type hair and this is definitely my go to gel from now on.

Repeated exposure could also cause developmental toxicity and has adverse effects on the blood, the liver and fertility. It may be involved in the disruption of the endocrine system, but further studies on this subject are needed. Finally, in case of contact, it may cause serious eye damage. From an environmental point of view, the manufacturing process is highly polluting.I bought this product because it was recommended by the yuka app with an excellent 100% score. However, upon receiving and using it, I noticed that the ingredients were different. It smells of chemicals and gives me a slight headache when i put it on my scalp to retwist my hair. I dont use any chemicals so i am VERY sensitive to exposure. I immediately requested a review on the yuka app. It now scores a poor 47/100.The product works nicely but is not at all worth the risk.
