Ratatak Distortion Guitar Pedal - PCB-Mount Kit

This is a great kit with excellent instructions, final sound, and general quality. It even has the parts laid out on tape in the correct build order, so that there is little chance of installing them incorrectly. However, there is one major flaw. The parts list specifies 'long shaft potentiometers'. These were not supplied, but rather the standard short shaft type. Unfortunately, I did not discovers this until final assembly into the box, and the pots do not clear the mounting. I would order this kit again just to rebuild it, not soldering the pots to the board (as I am attempting to do now).Have searched for the correct potentiometer type on various supplier sites, I do not believe they are actually available. It might be best to order the non-OCB mount kit... :)

If you like the rat pedal this is a great kit, that also sell an already assembled pedal, if the diy thing is not for you, however, this kit is layed out well, and a very good product for beginners with a pedal or two under their belt. The finished product is great, the controls are easy to set and very responsive.

Great kit. Great customer service. I’m made a few tweaks to a cap and a few resistors as well as found a vintage IC chip and it’s a rat killer.
