Sunrise Eyes & Hallelujah Breath: Poems

I have been a fan of Tiffany Aurora since her first book got released, so when Sunrise went live, I couldn’t wait a minute before buying it. And I’m glad I did. It really is like a breath of fresh air. A cross/hybrid between Mary Oliver’s freshness and Dickinson’s eccentricity. It was a beautiful read. I couldn’t put it down so I finished it in one sitting. As the pages unfold, the breeze flows between poems. I loved it and already planning on gifting it for Christmas. Never too early for Christmas shopping!

Tiffany Aurora packs poignancy, whimsy, rawness, hope, and power in this collection of poems, many of which are fashioned in her nature-themed signature style. I enjoy that you can read it in one sitting, or return to it and pause . . . taking in one poem for a stretch. Her words are imbued with a tender heartbeat and a brave healing spirit, reminding us to always embrace self-love.
