SAMSUNG I9192 GALAXY S4 MINI Dual Sim Quad Core - Black Unlocked Smartphone

Excellent phone, although battery life is disappointing.Sturdy build, unlocked for any network, intuitive OS, many apps available. All in all, highly recommended.I have not been able to confirm working of 2nd SIM as I am awaiting arrival of this SIM but will share as soon I have been able to test.

I purchased this phone after researching the limited number of dual sim mobiles available in the UK - an ideal solution allowing me to dispense with my work phone and use one handset for both my numbers. I previously used an iphone 4. Having received the S4 mini, the dual sim functionality itself is excellent - simply pop in both sims and the phone allows you to receive calls/texts from both numbers. It's seamless and exactly what I was after. The phone is fully-featured and has many positives, however I have found a number of significant drawbacks hence the two star review.Firstly the battery life is very poor meaning that a full day's use - even relatively light use - is a struggle. The battery is quite slow to charge, and discharges very quickly, even given the fact it's generally simply in my pocket all day not doing very much. To compound the problem the battery meter itself is unreliable as the last 15% tends to drain in a matter of minutes. I use power saving mode and turn off wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, gps etc when not needed, which helps but I still don't trust this phone to retain charge when I need it, so have invested in multiple chargers at home/work/in the car, just in case. To give a picture of just how poor it is, if I go to bed with the battery on 35%, in the morning it will be flat. To sum up, not great.Secondly, the phone ships with an outdated version of Android (4.2.2) which has not been updated. Various internet forums discuss this and, for the technically minded it may be possible to manually updated, but this isn't an ideal solution. The over-the-air update doesn't appear to have been provided to UK consumers - so essentially it appears that those buying this phone in the UK will be stuck with the same operating system for the life of the phone. Having previously used newer versions of Android (ironically on older devices) I haven't been impressed with this particular flavour - it's ok, but less usable than hoped as it lacks many of the tweaks added to newer versions.The third issue for me, and the biggest problem is frequent crashes. The device routinely crashes when using google maps sat nav, and plugged into the car charger. I suspect this is because the processor overheats given the combination of intensive task, and heat from the charging process. Simple, you might say - don't charge it when using the sat nav. I refer you to point one above - the battery life is so poor that charging will definitely be required. However crashes aren't limited to this scenario - the device also frequently crashes when using bluetooth (incidentally bluetooth functionality is poor, with frequent drop outs across multiple devices) and/or freezes, requiring a reset.So overall, after six months I've found several insurmountable problems with this phone and am looking to replace it with something more reliable. I wouldn't recommend it for purchase as, even if you're happy with the old version of Android, the poor battery life and crashes mean the device is very frustrating to use.

I bought this product as I was looking for a decent dual sim smartphone which would make the job from a speed and lifetime point of view.Few things to say about the phone itself and the seller. `- First of all, the seller should mention that THIS PHONE IS MANUFACTURED FOR MONGOLIA AND IMPORTED TO EUROPE, HENCE IT IS NOT COVERED BY SAMSUNG EUROPEAN GARANTIE !!! So folks bear in mind this as the seller hided this crucial point.Ok fine, if you are lucky enough unlike me you ll get away with it but it is still a risky purchase for few hundred pounds. The phone's battery was draining so fast it never lasted a day even with limited usage. It started heating when in charge or just when it started to work intensively, I thought that was due to samsung not being as good as my previous Iphone or BB but when I compared to another friends S4 mini I understood it was FAULTY!Next I go to Samsung dealer who tells me that they can not do anything as it is not a European model (how can a global company not cover its products around the world !!! Samsung never again !!). Ok I try to use but it is really a pain! keep crashing, losing my data etc..Then just after a year the phone dies so I contact the seller and explain the matter. Fine as he responded and asked me to send the phone for a repair so I Thought at least he s fair. Well I waited a month until he completely forgot about my phone and replied that samsung do not provide the mother card so he could not repair it. Actually, he couldn't bother doing it himself and did not want to pay for his lies because the local shop said it could repair it with spares of another phone but for £100.So I ended buying a new one, wasted my money and eventually repaired it 6 month later during my holidays in Turkey in a corner shop which only costed me £80 in 1H30 !!!AVOID THIS SELLER

The shipping was ok, almost two weeks. The service was good. Didn`t like the fact that the phone only has 1 wear warranty writen on the box in spite of I bought it in the EU (it is supposed to have 2 years). The phone is from China in spite of the origin being from England(all the instructions are in Chinese, doesn`t have english). Hope I don`t have warranty problems after a year :(! The phone is in great conditions.Happy with it, at least for now.

Excellent device - although it is my first smart phone. the dual SIM work well and there are, perhaps, too many apps you can get for it. For those of a certain age, the screen is just that little too small and if like me your fingers are a little too large the on screen keyboard is a nightmare. So be careful with your eyes cos the screen will challenge them.

I was looking for a Dual Sim mobile, and this one was really a very good choice. Good equipment and good performance.

Well this is a very nice phone. With good functions. Good size.But battery time is a joke....The need to fix it now.....

It is more or less ok but the set up of managing two sim cards is poor. It causes many issues. There are other sim card phones which are much more user friendly (i.e. BQ smartphones).
