If you know about mushy peas. Which I believe is an English thing. I’m told from an English friend of mine that they always serve mushy peas when they serve fish and chips. I really enjoyed them and the flavor is the same and yet different than American canned peas.

We made these with a little Norfolk mint sauce and pub malt vinegar. Very different from green peas or split peas. Excellent flavor. Next time will order more!

These original mushy peas are perfect if you're a Brit from the north of England. I've had what were called "mushy peas' in the USA, but they were just pureed garden peas, which taste entirely differently. If you want the taste of real English mushy peas, these are the ones.
