Skybox F5S H.264 works and has nice features for the price.
The Skybox F5S H.264 HD Satellite Receiver has nice features for the price, but you need to upgrade the Satellite List for your Country. For example: I went to http://skybox.cc//downinfo.asp?id=70 and downloaded the 201291716321480167.rar file to a USB flash drive and upgraded the unit so it would list all the North America Satellites. There are also upgraded lists for the UK, South America, Middle East and Asia. I am using this receiver to downlink CTN which is on AMC1 at 103 Degrees West. I am feeding the receiver with a fixed dish, so I don't know how to use it to move a dish. I am experienced in setting up professional satellite receivers that cost over $2,000.00 USD, so this $71 receiver was a little foreign to me. It is very versatile. It can record to a USB drive - I used it to format a 16GB Flash Drive NTFS and recorded on it and played it back on the Skybox and on my computer. Since I have it on a fixed CBAND dish on AMC1 Horizontal Polarity, I can also get all the ION channels including Qubo. A surprising feature that is not in the manual is that you can plug in an Ethernet cable and set it up to get Weather and stream YouTube. There is also a Wireless setting in the Network Menu, but I could not get the Wireless to work, but that could be due to security settings in our network or it is not really functional.Note: The Composite Video Out worked right away, but the HDMI output was set for 50 Hertz. To get HDMI to work on my USA TV set, I had to use the Composite Video Output and go to the TV System Menu and set it to YUV and 1080p_60 for it to work on my TV's HDMI Input. You can also set it to 1080i_60 or 720p_60 or 480p. Be patient as HDMI is slow to respond and it steps through 50 Hz for each resolution.Another thing not in the manual: You can get a Weather Forecast in the Network App Menu by pressing the little Red button to bring up a Keyboard and typing in a city. Then after you find a city, you can switch from C to F by pressing the Blue button.
