It’s a little heavy but works well. I used it while hiking Half Dome in Yosemite and it helped me get epic videos and made it easy to grab my phone when checking navigation.

While this mount is useful for stationary use, it is not acceptable for clipping a phone to a backpack strap, the use for which I purchased it. I tried it a couple of times, and it worked fine. At first. But yesterday I went on a 10-mile hike, and left my phone in the mount so I could use my watch app to take photos without pulling my phone out. But twice the screw that clamps the phone in the mount came loose and my phone crashed to the ground. The second time it broke both the screen and the camera. So do not buy this item to keep a phone available on a hike. I will not use it again.

This is a great backpack clip if you are in need to keep your phone steady, the camera focused and hands-free. I am a blind traveler and I use this quite a bit when I am using visual assistance through my phone.

Fasteners are awkward and difficult to fully tighten. The entire thing bobs around when I walk, so it fails to serve it's purpose. Poor quality and value.

Impressed by the quality and versatility of this item. I definitely trust it to hold my phone. Makes hands free filming a breeze. I expect to get a lot of use out of it.

I’ve tired other ones like this, and this is the kind rush works the best. Nice and sturdy and I like how you can tighten the clamp manually by turning the screw.

A little bulky, but works ok to record first person while wearing a pack.
