When I saw the pictures I was hesitant to buy with doubts on quality. Thanks to Amazon the shipping was super fast and when I opened the package it was a feast for eyes. The pieces were really heavy and the quality was outstanding. It is the most beautiful Staunton chess set I have seen so far in realtime. Far superior than the pieces I have seen during my stay in Eurpoean countries and Canada. King piece was bigger than expected which I liked and the craftsmanship makes each one of them a masterpiece. Especially the knight pieces shows the amount of time that could have taken to carve. Definite buy, highly recommended and waiting for the stock to buy one more set. Pieces are heavy , really heavy which feels good . Perfect for a 16 to 18 inch board. And no better chess set can be found in this price range . If you take out this chess set to play in front of any chess lover he will be delighted . The knight looks nice as opposed to the german knight staunton whose style is too simple for me and the ROOK . Oh the ROOK . The design of the rook is pure genius . Displays solidarity and dominance like it would bulldoze through the opponents piece in its way which is perfect for the rook . This set is worth twice the price that it is sold for . Buy it without hesitation.

It’s a beauty. The quality and craftsmanship is good for the price. The 4 inch model includes an extra pair of queens. However the model doesn’t come in a wooden box. It also should be noted that the felt used in the lower side is of poor quality.

The chess pieces are very nicely crafted and prepared. Its a delight to play with them and one will feel to play more often. Though it is priced on a higher side but its worth and great value for money. 👍🏻👍🏻

I wanted to purchase a chess board and pieces with some quality and weight behind them, so ordered this artistic set from Ganesh Chess, which is an Amritsar based chess manufacturer.The pieces were well - wrapped and packaged, with bubble wrap and individual wrappings for the bigger pieces. The pieces themselves are hand-carved wood, nicely detailed and weighted, with a matte finish, even though the black wood isn't ebony. The styling is a variation of the Staunton standards, with subtle differences in the king, queen, bishop, and noticeable ones in the rooks. The knights were my personal favourite, though. The Kings are roughly 3.8" in size, with other pieces proportionate. The bottom is felt standard, and they have a quality, lasting feel to them. No extra Queens, though. The unit cost was ₹2250, with free delivery. Recommended.
