100W 100 Ohm Ceramic Wirewound Potentiometer Rotary Resistor Rheostat

Seems to be a good deal for the money. Knob was packed next to Rheostat and became marred/scratched. At least it came with a knob I suppose.....

Perfect for the test rig I used it for. Yes it is large (2-1/2" diameter, 1-3/8 " thick not counting the knob and shaft) and yes, it is a bit "choppy" at first----it IS after all, a 100 watt WIRE-WOUND pot---but the choppiness can be noticeably reduced with a bit of "lapping" the slider, by twisting the knob back and forth a few times.

Kind of crudely made but functions well.

Does what it is supposed to but, boy, it is crude. Like others have mentioned, the tabs & stops were bent and had to be straightened before it could be used. The shaft isn't perpendicular to the body so if you panel mount this is isn't going to look right. The knob isn't the proper size for this shaft and was split during factory assembly. At this quality, this should only be used for occasional bench use,

This is very handy for testing my 100 Watt Solar panels under various loads but they do heat up depending on the power dissipated (about 10 to 15 watts and above).

Do not buy electric products that aren’t listed. No UL mark, no sticker, nothing that shows this has been tested to not catch fire. Amazon shouldn’t be selling these. Perhaps the seller would get in trouble in its own country for selling these, but ok to dump this fire and shock hazard on the US consumer. Complete waste of money.
