Solid basic introduction
A good solid basic introduction to the tanks of the earlier phases of the Cold War. Nothing particularly spectacular or revelatory but certainly worth having in your collection.

Rehashed stuff, nothing new, a bit of a let down.

Author finally escapes from interminable commission on D day/Normandy.
Whilst the political machinations of the immediate post May 1945 European period have been well covered there has been somewhat of a dearth of information on both military personnel and ‘hardware’.It is therefore heartening to see that this knowledgeable author has now started to rectify this omission by producing an interesting text plus a strong selection of photographs and paintings.
