I bought a liquid version of Mucinex but it’s too sweet and thick, and my child often wretches after swallowing 1/10 of the required portion —- I couldn’t even stand the fake fruity, sugary taste.However, this was accepted quite well and these looked like Nerds, and easy to pour them out on my child’s tongue.It contains a half amount of the active ingredients than that in the liquid Mucinex, thus you may need to give 2 pouches depends on your child’s condition.It’s more expensive than the liquid medicine, but it’s definitely easier to give and also becomes handy when traveling.

I love that we have an option for kids' cold medicine that isn't liquid! I've used homeopathic liquid cold medicines for my kids like Zarbee's, but my son stopped accepting liquid medicines around age 4, and my daughter has fought liquid medicine since she was still a baby. It's easy to get children's Tylenol in a chewable tablet, but until recently, I couldn't find any cold medicine that they would take without tons of convincing and sadness. I was so happy to find these Mucinex melts!This stuff comes as a chunky white powder that dissolves easily in their mouths, most of the time my son doesn't even want to drink water with it because it dissolves without the water and doesn't have a bad taste. It's super easy to dose because it come in single-serving packets. Also, my son was initially skeptical about the flavor - the bubble gum was sold out and he doesn't like "orange cream" because he doesn't like creamsicles, but he tried it anyway and loved the flavor!I already stocked up so I have a second box on hand for next time the kids are sick. Great product, my favorite kids' medicine I've ever bought! I would try the Mucinex chewable tablets next, but I don't know that I want to fix what isn't broken since my kids already like this one so much! :)

This works really well. It doesn’t have a nasty taste so my kids don’t complain when I give it to them. I hope it never gets discontinued.

Had no idea these came in powders! My kids are obsessed ! So easy to take and tastes great

The flavor is GOOD. The only problem is that as a powder it’s hard to ingest if your child refused to mix it with anything. Guaifenesin, the active ingredient, is a great cough reducer that still allows you to cough when there is something to cough up. It thins mucus. The only problem is that it tastes TERRIBLE, this product solves that.

My 5 year old hates medicine so this was A great choice & really worked well & helped him feel better - I will definitely buy again - No fight = win!

Powder medicine like this and Tylenol quick dissolve packs are game changers for fussy kids and medicine. When your kid is sick and miserable, and you’re worn out, something like this is a lifesaver. Tasted like a 59/50 orange cream bar. I took one first to see and it was great, as long as you don’t chew it. I chewed it to see how bad it is. Not too bad. Bitter. Just swallow like it says. No chewing needed.

My daughter has a hard time (actually its me I have a hard time) getting my daughter to take liquid medicine. It's a total disaster, traumatic. If you know, you know. This after a lot of time convincing, we got down and she complies when it's needed. It works really well too. I thank this stuff for giving me hours of sleep when I otherwise would have lost it.
