Such delicious candy, so hard to find in the stores! If you like hard toffee, that tastes fresh and well made, melts slowly and leaves you satisfied, this is your new favorite. This toffee stays hard and sweet to the end with a rich buttery/cream flavor.It doesn't get soft while you have it in your mouth, so unless you crunch it, you're in for a long treat. The bright almost retro packaging might turn some people off, but I love it. And among the people I know, I love to be able to slide the box open, and offer the individually wrapped candies, that look like they're on a tray to people who either don't smoke or want an alternative at 'break' time....The candies are wrapped in a thick gold colored foil, printed with a smaller floral of the package exterior, and people often exclaim they want to keep their foils when the candies are gone. A true blend of excellent candy, always fresh and delicious, with outstanding package design. Bought a pack of 10 boxes on Amazon because I can't find them in store. so nice to carry around during the day, small box but pieces stay fresh.

I recently became aware that the UK Callard and Bowser brand of butterscotch tablets had been discontinued some years back. I recall eating these as a kid, having been introduced to them by my dad who was a butterscotch fan.Looking on Amazon, I could only find the Meiji brand and one review compared it favorably to Callard and Bowser. I just received a pack of 10 boxes from 3rd party seller Samurai Japan. They arrived from Japan just 15 days after I ordered, much faster than expected. And, yes, they remind me a lot of the old Callard and Bowser brand. I'm very satisified.

It took a while to get my Chelsea’s but it was so worth it! They are so delicious!!! And the price was great. I will order again when I’m about halfway through my “stash” so I have enough to get me through until the new ones arrive. Customer service was awesome! Answered my emails quickly and professionally. So so good, much better than any US made butterscotch candy I've tried. At around $20 for 10 boxes each containing 10 pieces and free shipping, the price is very reasonable. Took more than a month to arrive, but free shipping from Japan, so I'm just noting this, not complaining. Will definitely order again while I continue the search to find this locally.

The closest thing to the sorely missed Callard and Bowsers Butterscotch you'll find. Smooth, sweet and scotchy. A real find.
