Our Labrador Retrievers really love these. They’re a great size for a larger dog, especially for those who chew vigorously.

I normally buy deer and moose antlers locally as I like to chose which one I take. This is my first experience with elk antlers and I tried both the jumbo and the colossal sized. Although the colossal size is longer, it was also thinner so actually lasted less time than the jumbo. I would suggest jumbo is more cost effective. Secondly, this was listed as a split antler, the one I received what not cut in half.I have four large dogs: Greater Swiss Mountain dog, Irish Wolfhound, Kuvasz and Ovcharka. They are all heavy chewers and antlers are the only things I have been able to find that don't get destroyed over night. Deer antlers are recommended for moderate chewers, and moose for heavy chewers. Elk are a softer antler and I found that even with limited use they didn't last as long. They help keep teeth clean but do sometimes result in bleeding gums.If your dog has never had an antler you will want to start with one that is cut in half. That teaches them that the center has the yummy marrow. Another trick I have found is to tuck it in your bra or belt so that it smells more like you . . . it helps dogs accept it better.The sticker label is a pain and doesn't come off clean. I scraped as much off as I could prior to giving it to my dogs.Made in the USA.

This is going back no where near the size it is stated to be in the description. What I got was 6 x 2 x .75 not the 10 inch length in the item description. I get a bigger antlers than this for half the price at the pet store

I ordered this assuming from the product listing that this antler would be split, but apparently that is an option that must be selected when adding to your cart. The antler received was not split, and therefore my dogs were not interested in it: too difficult to get to the marrow.It is very thick though, so I may try using a bandsaw to cut it in half.

It's hard to rate this "bone" because for some reason my dog just isnt into it. Hes not used to having any bones lie around the house because he is very territorial of them and when our cat goes to take a sniff and survey what it is he growls and bares his teeth (this is why we cant have nice things lol). This is his first ever antler or large chewable that isnt rubbery or something that he cant chew through because he is also an aggressive chewer and tears through a tennis ball in less than 10 minutes. It doesnt have any smell to it(to a human) but he seemed awfully interested in it at first and couldnt wait to take it from me. But once he got it in his mouth, dropped it, sniffed it, took a couple chomps/licks he dropped it back on the floor and went back to his favorite toy. It is not laying on the living room floor like some other long lost forgotten toys that he doesnt like. He is an 80lb lab/shepherd mix and usually loves anything "bone like" but this I guess just didnt tickle his fancy. I would say that when I held it, it did have good weight to it, it's very sturdy and I'm afraid even some dogs could chip or break teeth trying to chew on this. But for those aggressive chewers that can destroy anything I think this would be a good match for. Maybe if this had a better scent or "taste" he would go for it but this was a miss!

My dogs are big chewers, especially the Great Dane/Bulldog puppy. These keep them satisfied and last a long time!

The media could not be loaded.  Wow, I am amazed at how much my dog adores this! Up until now he has been used to chewing on raw hides and bones. I didn't really know how he would react to this or if he would even do anything with it.To my knowledge, or at least from what my nose can tell, this is not scented and it doesn't really smell like anything. The day I brought the package with it inside he ran straight over to it and began sniffing it. He knew it was something he wanted.As you can see in my video, he was very excited about it and chewed on it happily. The sizing is just right for a large dog of his size. So far we have had no issues of him choking on it. It doesn't smell anywhere near as bad as rawhides do so that is another benefit.This one didn't last more than a few days because of his strong strong pitbull jaws but it definitely hung on for dear life. Highly recommended.
