Where’s the Digital Code?
Excellent show. No digital code. Why would they not include it? That’s why I gave only four stars instead of five for all of the seasons.

New Cast, Same Great Story
The third season of The Crown begins with Queen Elizabeth II reviewing designs for new postage stamps that shift from depicting her as "Young Monarch" to, in her words, "Old Bag." That's a fitting start for a season that introduces some different actors: principally Olivia Coleman as the Queen, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham-Carter as Princess Margaret. The transition is a bit premature, because in 1964, when Season 3 begins, the Queen was only 38, Prince Philip 43, and Princess Margaret 34, but it still works well because the acting, writing, and settings are as scintillating as ever. The ten episodes in Season 3 run from 1964 to the Silver Jubilee in 1977. Those 13 years witnessed social turmoil and economic decline in Britain under Labour's Harold Wilson and the Tories' Edward Heath. They were also a period of turmoil for the House of Windsor, as the Queen's older children Charles and Anne grew into young adulthood, Princess Margaret and her husband the Earl of Snowdon's marriage became increasingly rocky, and Prince Philip continued to find himself constricted. The various episodes dealing with these issues are excellent, as are others that touch on the possibility of Royal involvement in a coup against the Wilson government (Charles Dance as Earl Mountbatten of Burma is superb), the final illness and death of the Duke of Windsor, the Apollo moon landing in 1969, and the Aberfan disaster of 1966 when faulty management of a coal tip caused a landslide that buried a school (this is the best episode, in my opinion.)There are hints of future issues that will be covered in Season 4, as Charles, Anne, and Margaret's romantic affairs intensify, but most importantly, the confirmation of Queen Elizabeth II's eminent suitability for her role continues.

Make sure you can play the DVD you order…some dvds won’t play in USA some won’t play in UK.
I’ve enjoyed all seasons but beware the cast changes for season 3. I’ve enjoyed looking up the real history and whar actually happened after I watched the seasons, people who don’t care about UK or monarchy might still find this series entertaining, I would recommend.

vacation binge-watching
sept vacation 22, watched the whole series, more than likely it went that way, but we know its not the gospel truth, very entertaining, GOD rest HER Majesty's soul, very loyal to the crown, but with the new King, not so much, I think because for me she had that grandmother affect,

Mixed bag
Agree with most that the first two seasons were better. However, Season 3 and new cast is beginning to grow on me.Pros:+ Olivia Coleman is drastically different from the glamorous Claire Foy, but she began to grow on me by season's end. She portrays a queen that is regal, haughty and suspicious of her underlings, but I suspect that's actually how the real Queen WAS, particularly as she moved into middle age. Coleman seemed to improve with each episode, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in season 4.+ the absolute revelation of this season were the actor Josh O'Connor and the actress Erin Doherty who play Prince Charles and Princess Anne respectively. They are SPOT ON. I grew up in the 1970s, and so I remember a young Prince Charles, and O'Connor plays him brilliantly right down the smallest detail (the slightly hunched back, the awkward smile). Likewise, Doherty pulls off Princess Anne perfectly, a stunning beauty who radiated confidence and strength.Cons- Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret. What in the world happened to this actress? Is this same the beauty that wowed the world several decades ago in the movie "A Room with a View"? And her portrayal of the Princess as a boozing, chain-smoking, man-obsessed train-wreck is utterly inaccurate. True, the Princess did have a rough second marriage, but in video footage you see of her at the time, she appears trim, fit and articulate, and not a degenerate drunk.- related to the above point, there are WAY too many Margaret episodes this season. One would have been sufficient.Anyway, in sum, yeah Season 3 is a bit of a letdown after Seasons 1 and 2, but nonetheless the new cast shows some promise and I am definitely looking forward to Season 4.

About Queen Elizabeth II life as a queen
It was entertaining and showed how it is not always easy being a queen.

I really like this series
I like the story line, since I have been alilive for all of Queen Elizabeth's reign, and before. Born in 1943-and have always been fascinated with British history, especially the royals, since they seem so silly and shallow. Not sure why the Brits need the royal family, but they apparently think they do. Am anxious to see Season 4

Buena serie.
Me gustó, aunque me gustó más la actuación de la primera reina, de las temporadas anteriores, pero supongo que es normal porque va evolucionando el personaje. Algunos capítulos parecen un poco de relleno pero al final consigue la atención.
