Corsair Raptor HS30 Gaming Headset

I bought this a few weeks back and I must say that overall it is a great product. It does have a few downsides but I think that for the price point it is an excellent value.Here's the reasons why:--> it has a decent set of drivers which give it great sound quality, making it great for music and game audio--> noise cancelling mic (cuts out all the white noise and garbage sound)--> it's has integrated Dolby Pro Logic, which simulates 5.1 and 7.1 surround from a standard stereo (2 speaker) stream--> it's comfy, with decent padding on the ear cups and head band you can wear it for hours--> the cup design helps to reduce outside noise (my GF has snuck up on me more than a couple of times while I wore these)--> it is very affordable as gaming headsets go ( just over $40 after tax and shipping)However there are a few downsides:--> the adapter is USB and not the standard 3.5mm, which means you cannot use it on any consoles or (most) other devices; only computers.--> the ear cups tend to swivel around a lot (especially if you move your head a lot)--> the head band doesn't always stay put (again only if you're moving your head a lot)In general the features outweigh the downsides and for the price you can't beat it.

To large for my head, painful to wear for extended amounts of times. If you are on a laptop this mic picks up power supply static and buzzing. No noise canceling features in Windows 7. Software is difficult, the website offers you the newest version, but if you are having problems getting the software to run, uninstall the newest version, download the older version, then redownload the newer version. The play back quality is great though and greatly reduces environmental noise. Not good for recording voice.

After owning these headphones for almost 2 years, I can say they are quite excellent. Great sound quality, decent surround sound, base and high end aren't anything special but they do well for gaming. Mic quality is excellent and overall build quality feels solid. Color scheme and design are decent, with the headphones being almost comically large for a medium or small head. Ear cuffs are excellent faux leather with a super nice squish to them. After 2 years, the faux leather has begun to wear off but that is due to heavy use so no complaint. Very long USB cable that is solid and unlikely to fray or break anywhere, in line controls are wonderful with a big red or blue LED square to show when the mic is muted. Large drivers deliver good sound and branding is light and tasteful. Only complaint is trying to find replacement leather earpads seems impossible.

Really nice headphone, to sum it up, but some little bugs may appear for some people :First, the microphone : at the beginning, it made a heavy background noise for people listening to me. But after a while (like, two days later) and maybe a few tweaks, the noise almost "vanished". It's still here, but unnoticeable.Second, the headphone : the volume is always at 1/100, yet I still hear loudly. Put it at 2/100 or more, it starts being too loud (at least for me). So what I did is put my speakers as main speakers, then on every communication program (Skype, Teamspeak, etc.), I redirected them on the headphone. Well, of course, your surroundings will hear all the sounds too, but at least, you control the volume a little more easily.And by the way, the 7.1, be it real or virtual, is useless. It makes the sound worse, unrealistic. So, better disable it.Then, for the good parts :The headphone itself : pretty confortable, a little heavy but you forget about it fast enough. I love the design, but that's a subjective point. It seems pretty solid to me, even though it doesn't look like it when you manipulate it.Another good point is the cable : reaaaaally long. The USB plug, as said before, allows you to redirect the sounds through multiple speakers separately. The inline volume/mic control is pretty nice, only three buttons (vol+, vol-, and mute) but you don't need more, and the blue light turning red when you disable the mic.The mic is good, people hear you really well, even through the beginning background noise.So, overall, I'd say it's a pretty nice headphone, but for the price, the few wrong parts should be seriously fixed.

I've had these for about 2 or 3 months now and I can say these are a great purchase. I bought these to do recordings for let's plays as well as just gaming in general and everything works as intended. There is no software to install, and other than the basic first time plugging in they don't require anything else. It does not nativity come with an equalizer but that is quickly remedied with a quick visit to the Corsair website to download. The padding on the headset is nice, and the ear cups feel nice as well. If used for too long however is starts to feel mildly uncomfortable, but it shouldn't be a problem unless you play for more than a few hours max. For me at least, the headset is not heavy in the slightest. The mic works really well, the only complaint though is that while ear cups are over ear some of the sound does leak out and the mic does pick that up. Another nitpick is that the headset is really loud but quickly remedied with just lowering the volume, that also solves the noise leak problem with the mic. The headset might seem a bit big but you quickly get over that real quickly, also do not worry about these not fitting on your head. I have one big dome and I did not have to adjust the headset to fit my size so that my be a plus to some. Overall if you want a good headset then I highly recommend these. If you have the money to spare I recommend looking at the vengeance series if you want some extra's.Pro's:-Comfortable-Great Mic-Good Sound-Reasonable PriceCon's-Can get mildly uncomfortable for prolonged use.-Noise Leaks-May be too loud for some.

Bad sound quality, used them once and they wore off. Get Razer instead.

Volume bom, estável e confortável. Cores bonitas e microfone de altissima qualidade. Vale muito a pena, ainda mais pelo preço em conta.

La verdad es que no conozco mucho de audífonos para gaming pero si puedo hablar bien de estos, el sonido es perfecto y el diseño me encanta aíslan bien el ruido, si me debo de quejar de algo es del peso, aunque tienen una almohadilla donde los audífonos descansan en tu cabeza al rato de usarlos me empieza a incomodar, otra cosa es que me gustaría que se pudiera retirar el micrófono del los audífonos aunque sí lo puedes echar para atrás. Yo los uso para jugar en ps4 pero con su entrada de 3.5 los puedes conectar casi a cualquier dispositivo.

I saw a lot of bad comment about this headset like it doesn't work on Windows 10, the mic is crappy,.... I found it can work on Windows 10 when you download the Corsair software for this headset from Corsair website, the surrounding sound is so real and good, it's a little bit uncomfortable when you first wear it but when you get used to it, perfect. The microphone is so clear, my family and friends say they can hear me clearly. This is a good headset, looked cool, good sound quality(not really for the bass), affordable price. I highly recommend this headset.
