Voltec 10-00459 3,400-Amp Portable Jump Starter

This jumper pack is awesome. I use it almost daily. It works great and is easy to use. I really like it.

I was impressed with the quality of the knobs, bottom rubber, clamps and switches. Nothing in the book or packaging warned about laying it any other direction than upside right, so I laid it on it's side and battery gel leaked all over my truck floor and melted the carpet.Since the box says nothing about which way must be up, even the delivery guy could do this. I figured perhaps it was just a defective unit and returned it. I assumed the cells were all sealed, and reading up on AGM cells they should not leak like this one did.Trying another and just to be safe will always store with bottom down.

Great jump box! Starts cars and v8 trucks at 0 degrees here in Alaska. I purchased one for work use and it's used daily. will buy one to keep in my RV for charging cell phones and running a small inverter. Paid $249 and worth it. The $100 cheap boxes are junk!
