1st impressions Decent shoes
I’ve ran 8 miles in them on the road and some visible wear on the soles near the heel. In other shoes this usually takes months and a lot of miles to happen but for the $ I’ll see if they last the average 300miles I get out of my others. They are fairly comfortable but They are more narrow than the whitin minimalist trail shoe. If they had been the same width and were zero drop I would like them a lot.

A Male Nurse's Best Friend
As a nurse I am on my feet at least 12 hours a shift (usually about 14 hours a shift)! I have tried many other shoes marketed towards nurses (cloves and snibbs just to name a couple), and I was looking at Hoka for my next pair. While I heard amazing things about Hoka and max cushion shoes, but I wanted to try them without shelling out $200. So I found these, saw amazing reviews, and ordered them. I also bought some Rust-Oleum never wet to water proof them as I come into contact with all sorts of "fluids." From passing meds while pushing my cart, running to a code blue, or even standing in my patients room to listen to their concerns these shoes are amazing! They're comfortable, light, roomy in the toe box, true to size, and surprisingly durable. I beat the heck out of these things, I even take them running! Very impressed, going to be buying more pairs! If you're a runner or a healthcare worker buy them! Just waterproof them and you're golden!

Shocking Surprise!
87 mile update 12/29/22: Still great! After seeing a significant price increase in my usual running sneakers, and at my usual running focused website, I went to amazon to see if they had the same, or something comparable, for a more reasonable price. I dont know why these 'Whitons' were offered to me as a choice but I am now glad they were.I did buy my usual pair of sneakers but I was intrigued enough after reading some reviews of the Whitins, and about their composition and design, to buy a pair. I did this as an experiment to see how they would compare to my co-purchase costing $100 more. When both pairs of sneakers arrived things were as expected. My preferred brand was packaged solidly in its brand emblazoned shoe box. The Whitins came essentially loose in an amazon mailer, a left and a right sneaker, plucked from a warehouse shelf and bagged for shipping. They did, however, look very well made. The design was no less appealing than my usual brand. They had the feel of a good pair of sneakers. Before my first run in them, I joked with my wife that I was not going to go too far from home just in case I had to walk back with them in taters. Then I slipped my feet in. It was the kind of feeling I expect from my high-end choices (and sometimes dont get). The cushioning was excellent, the upper and sides felt like it was 'hugging' my feet. The tongue and rear were soft and comfortable. So I began my run.As I was running I was trying to judge the direction and degree of my bias towards these shoes. Did I want to find the experience positive because I would love to have a cost effective alternative to overpriced name brands? Was I going to be overly critical to justify my years of considerable expense?I put in 6-miles on the first run. For context, I weigh 185lbs, I do have some knee issues, and a casual run is about an 8:30 pace on sidewalk and cross-country terrain. I had a perfect run. The sneakers were stable. The ground strike was comfortable on my feet and knees. The shoes had zero indication of wear, other than getting a little bit dirty. On my second run with these sneakers I threw in some intervals. I did some 200 meter sprints at a 7:15 pace. I was pounding these things. They felt amazing. The next day I expected my knees to scold me a bit for the intervals but I was fine.I have now put in almost 30 miles in these sneakers. They really are a great pair of sneakers. There are always potential issues with such a low cost item, such as consistency in manufacture, but based on this pair I am wearing, I will take that risk. I have no doubt I will be buying another pair when the current pair reaches 300 miles. My 'major brand' sneakers are still in their fancy box.

Hoka or Altra replacement?
Ok, here's the deal. I've been running in Altra shoes for 6 years. Almost always have good things to say about them. But every year they get more expensive. So, I wasn't deluding myself into thinking I'd get the same quality shoe for around $40 with these Whitin cushion shoes. However, they fit well and were fairly comfortable right away, so I decided to throw caution to the wind (I DO NOT recommend this), and I went ahead and ran 10 miles in them as soon as I put them on.1. They're a little heavier than some of my better shoes2. The cushion was soft, but adequate.3. There was ample room for my foot in the toe box.4. The heelcup is deep and you'll want an appropriately high sock.5. The standard lacing locked down the shoe just fine.6. I didn't have any foot pain at the end of the run (I almost always have metatarsalgia if the shoe is too narrow)7. There was some mild wear at the ball of the foot after 10 miles. So, what did I think? They were a pleasant surprise. For this cheap, you can't expect the quality of a high end shoe. But I was pleasantly surprised. I wore them to work the next day and trudged around the hospital all day in comfort. I ran 2 more miles that night with my wife, and the shoes were fine.If they last 150 miles they'll totally exceed my expectations, and I'll get more!

Perfekt!

COMODIDAD TOTAL
LOS ADQUIRI ESCEPTICO , PERO AL CALZARLOS LA COMODIDAD ES BRUTAL, PERFECTOS PARA ESTAR DE PIE Y CAMINAR, NO LOS RECOMENDARIA PARA CORRER MAS QUE OCASIONALMENTE. LA AMORTIGUACION ES CONTUNDENTE, EL UPPER ES FRESCO Y LOS MATRIALES SE SIENTEN DE ALTA CALIDAD. LO UNBICO QUE NO ME AGRADO ES QUE VIENE REDUCIDO MEDIA TALLA, Y SI TIENES PIES ANCHOS COMO YO SERA NECESARIO UNA TALLA COMPLETA.

Preis l Leistung angemessen
